Tonight, we had a great time at UND for a casino welcome back event. Many of you may not know that Legacy Event Center hosts corporate casino events in Minnesota and North Dakota, even traveling as far as Bismarck. We're fortunate to have great casino dealers who travel and entertain groups well. We offer various games and over 25 tables to suit your needs.

It was a lot of fun to a part of this event!! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported Thief River Falls Amateur Hockey Association.

What an incredible evening! We had an absolute blast, and it was all thanks to the amazing support and energy from our community.

A special shoutout to all of our volunteers, sponsors, and participants who made this night unforgettable. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Let’s keep the momentum going and continue to grow our love for hockey and build a strong hockey community together. Here’s to many more fun-filled events ahead!

On June 8th, 2024, we experienced a first at our venue. The bride was from the western part of North Dakota, and the groom was from the southern part of Minnesota. How did they come to choose our venue? They searched for a central location, and Thief River Falls appeared on their search, leading them to discover our location. Neither the bride, groom knew anyone from the town. They visited a few times for consults over the year but neither one of their families had visited Thief River until their special day.

Amber and Louis were embraced by love on Saturday. Their deep affection for each other and their love for their families was evident.

Sometimes life brings unexpected people into our lives, and this couple was a delightful surprise. They were incredibly easy to work with and a joy to be around. We feel truly fortunate to have had the opportunity to get to know them and wish them many years of happiness ahead! We hope that our community provided them with a warm and welcoming environment during their stay here. We definitely enjoyed having you here!

Over the winter, we embarked on a building project with hopes of completing it by early spring, buoyed by our wonderful winter. However, due to back orders on several materials, it took longer than expected. Finally, on June first, we hosted our first outdoor wedding. To say we were nervous about meeting the deadline is an understatement; we were down to the wire, needing grass, a new sidewalk, and finishing touches inside the building. But guess what? We finished just in time.

I've mentioned before the abundance of amazing businesses in our community, and it humbles me to see how willing they are to meet the needs of others.

A huge shoutout is in order for Bray Const Inc., whose attention to detail, understanding of our needs, and willingness to pitch in on other projects are truly appreciated.

Bernier Plumbing, thank you for supplying all the piping we needed to make our new build fully functional and for being responsive whenever issues arise.

Hudson Electric, your prompt response whenever we need assistance or have a new idea is invaluable. Your crew is so great to work with.

Last but definitely not least, Ashton's Mowing Service and Snow Removal, Darwin and his crew came to our rescue last week, going above and beyond to help us finish just in the nick of time. A week before the wedding, Darwin promised to finish our sidewalk and lay sod. His crew worked on Memorial Day to kickstart the project, poured the sidewalk on Tuesday amidst off-and-on rain, finished it on Wednesday, and prepped for the sod. When the planned sod was too saturated due to rain, Darwin tirelessly searched the state for alternatives, eventually driving to Elk River to secure it within a day. On Thursday, despite pouring rain, they laid the sod. There are no words to express our gratitude for going the extra mile. If anyone is seeking a great team, look no further—this crew was phenomenal to work with!

It was an honor to celebrate the Wicheal’s this weekend. We have known Anna and her family for a while at Legacy, so it was extra special to get to serve them on their wedding day. Congrats again Anna and Cory Wichael.

Thank you everyone for the support and busy week last week. We held a religious gathering, 3 birthday parties, Towards Zero Deaths Workshop, 2024 Chamber Banquet. We finished off the week with the Garden Valley Banquet on Saturday. We also had the opportunity to cater for the Grygla Prom on Saturday night and were fortunate enough to assist with entertainmentent for the Thief River Falls after prom-party.

We are so grateful for all of the opportunities we are given. We are incredibly grateful to all of our staff for helping make these events extra special.

We had a chance on Friday to set up lighting for the Homecoming dance in town and it didn’t turn out to bad. Special Thanks to Aaron Fagerstrom for working his magic programming it all together.
