So as we were unloading our poinsettia truck today , this beautiful yet scary dog greeted us. She was persistent to go inside as we were in and out. I decided to text a friend that works at a local vet to see if she recognized the dog. She didn’t recognize her but suggested taking her to see if she was chipped. So dear sweet Tricia takes her in the van and she jumps right in. She wasn’t chipped. So as we ponder as to what to do, we called the animal shelter. Their protocol is to come get her and keep her for a few days to see if the owner comes . Then if not , on to adoption then after that ( we want talk about that). So torn what to do , as at this point it’s 4:00. So I decide to have them come get her and plan to go back for her if she is not adopted. We could clearly could tell she has an owner because of how well she looked. But I didn’t want to leave her in the cold for her to roam in the highway. TURN OF EVENTS!!!!!!! The Animal Shelter called me back to say someone had called looking for this dog. Gave us the address and Tricia delivered her to the owner. What a great day. I write all this to say: The Animal shelter needs a shout out. People nowadays just don’t have a heart and don’t care…….But they truly connected the dots today and we are grateful. The owner stated the dog stays in the house and ran out last night. She had been out all night and successfully crossed the highway. Hope this made you smile! We are happy it all worked out. THANK YOU TO THE ANIMAL SHELTER!!!
