Last weekend, A1 had the opportunity to get coffee on Saturday morning with the owner of Litchfield BZ Newspaper, a publication I'm a big fan of. In the winter months, we use salt brine, which is only effective down to 22 degrees. Below that temperature, the units may freeze. The stronger alternative is a much more expensive chemical that is also flammable. We apologize for the inconvenience during these frigid temperatures. Warmer weather is on the way!

A1 Portable Toilet acquires Peconic Portables’ inventory, expanding its resources and integrating new portable sanitation units into its Connecticut-based operations.

As A1 Portable Toilet continues to integrate Peconic Portables’ inventory, customers may notice a temporary presence of the Peconic branding. This is a short-term effect as new stickers and labeling will soon be applied, ensuring consistency in the company’s recognizable brand.

“The timing of this purchase wasn’t really forecasted,” Click says. “We put the feelers out there, and I knew that if we got a callback confirming the sale, we’d need to act quickly. When they initially told me it was already sold, I stayed laid back and relaxed, thinking it wasn’t meant to be. I told them that if it fell through, they were welcome to give me a call back. A few days later, I got the call and headed out there on a Friday. I would have loved to leave the equipment on the Island and set up another little porta john location there, but that area just isn’t for me at this time.”

A couple of our customers were affected by this flood. There is federal funding available for those in Oxford CT area for those whose insurance is not covering their property damage. Applications are due by 11/19/24, and it looks like there are options for both businesses and homeowners. A1 received the email from the CT SBA this morning.
