We are excited to announce our new "Weekly Meal" menu! This is a great option for when our lives are completely crazy but we really want to feed our family a delicious hot meal in between the craziness!! Everything is scratch made and delivered to you hot and fresh! It's simple to order and we arrange pick up or delivery with you to help make it a little easier! As we continue into 2025, we are Celebrating and Sharing some of favorite venues and vendors. In this post, we will be focusing on two, Appalachian View in Newland, NC and our favorite DJ, DJChill Will.

Need a DJ that knows how to get it done? Then DJ Chill Will is the man to contact! Along with his wife Misti, these 2 get the party started and we would recommend them for any event you may have. This down to earth, fun-loving couple will bring the energy and jam to your next event. We know this from personal experience as they were our DJ of choice for our wedding, our son's wedding and both of our Customer Appreciation Dinner's.
DJ Chill is very interactive and keeps up with the latest dance moves. Not knowing a dance isn't an excuse when this guy is around. He will get your crowd up and keep the party hopping with his moves.

Good Afternoon Plain & Simple Family and Friends. As 2025 has begun and the Spring Wedding Season is upon us, I wanted to pass along our new updated menu selections for 2025.
As we have always said, our menu is just a suggestion for what we offer. We cannot possibly list all the things we provide without boring everyone to death. And as in the past, we are still not offering any Seafood Items as it is just so difficult to have a fresh dish unless it is being prepared onsite and served immediately.
In addition, we are making a change with our Kitchen space. Beginning February 1, 2025, we will now be part of City Kitch in Greensboro, NC. We are excited in the new venture with them and the amenities that they offer. We will have a Private Kitchen Suite as well as use of the Shared Kitchen. The biggest advantage we are looking forward to is our own Private Suite that has a Commercial Smoker for our crowd favorites like Pulled Pork BBQ and Brisket.
Great things are coming this year and we are so excited to share our journey with everyone.
From Family Meals to Receptions/Rehearsals and everything in between, Plain & Simple Catering and Event Planning will have you covered.

Well, our 2nd Customer Appreciation Dinner is in the books and we are truly blessed!
Angie and I want to Thank all of you that braved the cold and tricky road conditions in places to celebrate with us. From family to friends to clients and more, we loved seeing everyone and spending some down time with you.
If you took pictures that you would share with us, please send them to us. We will be making a nice collage to put up.
Also, Thanks to Djchilly and all our wonderful staff and family that helped put everything together and clean up. We couldn’t do what we do without you.
Again, thanks to you all and we look forward to next year.

Good Evening Plain & Simple Family.
As the weather has come and gone, we are super excited that tomorrow is going to be amazing and we look forward to seeing everyone at our Customer Appreciation Dinner.
We know some areas were hit harder than us, but the roads around here are almost cleat and the weather tomorrow will only improve on those conditions.
We understand safety and some folks may not make it, but if you can, please come! It’s gonna be a great evening of food, fun and fellowship.

For a few days we want to share with some our favorite vendors! We have had the opportunity to work closely with some amazing venues! While each venue offers something unique they all have beautiful views and are ran by great people! We also have been so blessed to work alongside some amazing vendors who offer great services. These vendors are such great people and that makes their services that more special! Today, we want to recognize Mayberry Meadows Weddings & Events located in Mt’ Airy, NC. Mayberry Meadows owner, Gina Barnes is amazing and works closely with brides & grooms to make your day exactly what you envision! They offer all-inclusive packages to make your planning process simple! Vendors they work closely with are top notch! This venue offers a beautiful home that you can include in your package that will accommodate the entire bridal party with great division to keep the bride & groom from seeing one another before the big day! It offers an amazing area with plenty of room for getting ready for your special day! The venue itself can be utilized all seasons! The highlight of this property is the beautiful big tree for your ceremony area! Pictures just don’t do it justice! Angie & I wanted to give everyone an update on our Customer Appreciation Dinner coming up this Sunday, Jan. 12, from 4-9.
As we all know, the weather for this week is calling for Snow on Saturday. With the temps getting back to the mid 40’s on Sunday and Sunny, we will go ahead as planned with our event!
We are aware that several folks will be coming from a bit of a distance so if you have told us you are coming but feel you aren’t going to make it, please let us know as soon as possible.
For those of you coming, just a note on parking.
There are several spots in front of the venue and there are 2 lots you may utilize as well. One of the lots is across the intersection at the Fountain and the other is the other way at the visitor’s center (by the caboose). If you are having trouble finding a spot, give me a call or text and I will come out and direct you.
We look forward to a wonderful night of great food, fellowship, dancing (And coffee/hot chocolate). We can’t wait to see you all soon.
