This week we will be doing Tulips Jar deliveries, if you are within 10 minutes of the Re*****on YMCA, it’ll be $5 to have it delivered to you (or a friend),or we are happy to meet you at the Ollies- after work between 5PM-7PM

Can also have ready for pick up downtown at The Hare & The Hart

I love a Saturday on Broad Street! The mixed sounds of The Hare & The Hart playlist, the very busy birds, and of course people catching up- hard to beat. Loved seeing so many new and familiar faces. Keep an eye out for our next pop-up, as long as we have the flowers to do one, we will.

Think flower subscription, but we call it becoming a HILL HOUSE FLOWERS “BUD”!

So what does that look like? A new Bouquet of local and freshly picked spring flowers each week! We will have our main flowers of tulips, snapdragons, ranunculus, stock- paired with so many fun new blooms.

As with nature, we are aiming for the first week to be February 28- but this could be give or take a week!

This is what the past couple weeks and the next few look like. Books open, labels being made ( was horrible at this last year), and ahead of schedule!

Thousands of seedlings growing in the greenhouses to plant out next week, direct sowing some hardy annuals, and way too many tulip bulbs in the refrigerator pretending it is winter. Ranunculus and anemones going in this weekend, and Spring 2024 planting and prep is off to a great start!

What flowers are you most excited to see in the Spring?

Growing season 2024, you sure ended abruptly.
The storm/hurricane that came through, although not of much of ours was wind blown, the wind sure brought something with it. The dahlias that were stunning when I came back home, have yet to send up a single bloom as beautiful or full. The zinnias tops are gorgeous, but the stems are so fragile. And although we didn’t get in our last rounds of sunflowers, those would have been toppled, so thanks to me 70 days ago who didn’t start the sunnies.

Overall, this was just our second full season, and although new lessons aren’t fun, we learned a lot and have plans to do better next.

Follow along as we begin seeds for Late Winter/ Spring 2025! It’s going to be a good one, trust me.
