Made the red chile for Tamales Xmas Eve. Also made a pot of Frijoles de la olla and this home smells like my boyhood youth with my family.❤️💚❤️💚❤️ I'll make the rice Pryor to guest arrival...BREAKING...My Comadre called and asserted they will join us for the Holidays!!! Yay to spend time with my Godson and his older brother and of course their Sassy Loveable Mamma bear! My hearts on overload ♥️!

Great holiday flick!

So, Gladiator II follows Paul Mescal as a fallen warrior who becomes a gladiator 16 years after the events of the previous film, and potentially carries deeper connections than one might think. With the help of a malicious Denzel Washington and a warriorific Pedro Pascal, Rome is once again on the table as gladiators and Emperors collide for the dream of Rome.

All of the actors here are strong, Denzel chews scenery like this for breakfast, but the story just feels trite, ludicrous, and overdone. Playing fast and loose with logic and familiar connections, Ridley Scott once again helms a beautiful looking film that completely forgets to bond with its audience.

Gladiator II is barely a whiff of the original film (no one here comes close to Russell Crowe's gravitas), the CGI is wonky, and you should never, ever have to roll your eyes as hard as you will when the Roman Colosseum magically becomes a Sea World shark encounter simply because Ridley deemed it so.

My Cornbread stuffing is vegan at this point, I take out some before adding vegetable broth for my plant based people, then I do my homemade sausage and add it to my dressing with turkey broth I make from turkey necks & giblets...I'm doing a confit of garlic
To add to my mashers, and proofing homemade rolls to serve with herbed compound butter. Homemade Cranberry/pear sauce coming up!
