AN UPDATE REGARDING THE TIFFIN-SENECA HERITAGE FESTIVAL (TL;DR We are having a festival in 2025)
FOR DATED RELEASE: DECEMBER 16, 2024
The Tiffin-Seneca Heritage Festival is gearing up for the 45th Annual Tiffin-Seneca Heritage Festival. After feedback from the 2024 festival, we have some exciting news and opportunities to announce!
For several years, we have been fortunate to have exceptional individuals serve on our Board of Trustees. This year, some of our valued members have decided to step down from their roles.
Firstly, Mary Lewis, a staple of Tiffin, has chosen to resign from her board position, representing the Tiffin Historic Trust. Mary has been on the board since the inception of the Festival, and we have been blessed with her knowledge and ideas. Words cannot express our gratitude to Mary and the years we have had with her. Thank you, Mary, for your many years of help in creating an event that has been enjoyed by thousands of people.
Next is Rudi Feasel, who has been the president since 2021. Rudi has been instrumental in helping our festival reach new heights with new ideas for activities and helping with the re-organization of the festival. Thank you, Rudi, for your hard work in helping plan and execute our festival to a new level.
Mikki King held both duties as secretary and treasurer for numerous years and went above and beyond to make sure everything was up to date and down to the penny for the weekend. We extend a big thank you to Mikki for her hard work, dedication and ability to keep the festival on track and setting us up for success.
Finally, our Vice President, Josh Randell has resigned as well. Josh has been an asset since 2021 and has been influential in finding ways to raise funds for our festival. Josh’s hard work has allowed us to transition into a new era of the Tiffin-Seneca Heritage Festival, where entry into the Living History Village as well as our East Green Amphitheatre Entertainment is now free. Thank you, Josh, for your inspiring help with our festival.
At the November Board Meeting, the following positions were elected to the Board of Trustees.
Chad Kaiser, Owner of Nebula Design, has been elected Vice President, as well as interim president of the Tiffin-Seneca Heritage Festival. Chad has worked with the festival since 2006 as a volunteer and has 18 years of knowledge behind him from our Downtown Events, Entertainment, Living History Village Chairman, and much more.
Jose Arias, Owner of Happy Days Nutrition, has been elected as Secretary. Jose has been working with the festival since 2021, and has been great in helping with volunteers, helping with our downtown and village set up, as well as being a gracious host for our board meetings.
At the December Board Meeting, the following positions were elected to the Board of Trustees.
Ben Pugno, from Heidelberg University, has joined the Board. Rachel Crooks, representing the Tiffin Historic Trust as a Board Member, replacing Mary Lewis. Kimberly Arias, a community member, has joined the Board as Treasurer. Toni Cessna, representing Calm Compass Travel has joined as a committee chair for the Craft Vendors.
Currently, we do have a multitude of open positions for the community to look at. This would be a great opportunity President of the Board of Trustees, Downtown Events Coordinator, Food Vendor Coordinator and East Green Amphitheatre Entertainment. We also welcome the community to join our committees, for Downtown Events, Living History Village, Car Show, German Village, and Volunteer Coordination.
The Tiffin-Seneca Heritage Festival is one of the few events in Seneca County that is 100 percent donation driven as well as community run. We love the feedback and the direction the festival has taken, and by having our greatest asset on hand, the community, we plan on making the next festival a great time for Tiffin and all of Seneca County.
For more information on the open positions or joining a committee, feel free to reach out to Chad Kaiser, Vice President at [email protected].
