The next highlight is our “Frank Sinatra” room! ✨ This space was known as the milking parlor and had stanchions that were used to milk during the 30’s and 40’s. Instead of covering them up, we decided to showcase the area by adding live-edge wood tables to them. This room is meant to be used as a lounging area during receptions, reunions, etc. It’s conveniently located right next to the bar as well! 🥃

The beginning of our bridal suite to the end! There are still a few finishing touches that need added, but nevertheless, it turned out beautiful!

During the 1930's - 1940's, this was used as a holding room for the milk cans that were filled from the dairy cows in the milking parlor (this will be our next renovation update 😉). The cans were brought into this room and placed in an ice water tank. The milkman would then pick up the milk cans & replace with empty ones when finished. Many years later, our daughters used this room to house pigs caught from the Seneca County Fair. We've had many uses for this space at the Milkhouse!

We used the Milkhouse for our Father’s Day get-together & to celebrate Grandma Kieffer’s 87th birthday last Sunday!

This barn is very special to our family, especially to Grandma Kieffer. Her grandfather, George Dewitt Taylor, built the barn in 1922. The Milkhouse name was used as a tribute to its original use as a Dairy Farm. Enjoy these pictures from long ago!
