Join us on Friday, June 7 at 7:30 pm for a VERY fun evening with Extra Stout! Helen, Mary, and Marcos perform a wide range of songs, ballads, tunes ...fun, soulful, and timeless!

Refreshments will be served. Doors open at 7:00 pm. Suggested donation is $15-20 (90% goes to the musicians, 10% to the care of the Old Firehouse).

Only 10 more days until Extra Stout will be performing on the Tinmouth Old Firehouse stage! Join us for a fun concert - Friday, June 7 at 7:30 pm, doors open at 7:00. Refreshments and coffee will be served.

Another Tinmouth event - in Rutland:

Hand in Glove, an exhibition by photographer Nick Mango at the VTSU Castleton Bank Gallery in Rutland, brings a new direction to portraiture. By juxtaposing pictures of people with the gloves they wear for their work or play, a more nuanced – and interesting - portrayal of that person emerges. And, as the people photographed are all from Tinmouth, a true sense of the town’s community spirit is evoked by bringing the images together. The exhibition runs at the gallery, 104 Merchants Row, Rutland, from Nov. 10 through Dec. 31, Thursday-Saturday, 12-6 p.m. A reception will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 5:30-7 p.m.

The Tinmouth Volunteer Fire Department is hosting it's annual Wild Game Supper on Saturday, November 18 - 4:00-7:00 pm. $30 per person, it's the one fund-raiser for the TVFD, and a great chance to try all sorts of delicious dishes! Tinmouth Volunteer Fire Department

The new Vermont folk-grass group Marsh Lights will be appearing at the Old Fire House in Tinmouth, VT on Friday, October 13 at 7 PM. The group features the singing and songwriting of Colby Crehan, former vocalist of PossumHaw and the Bluegrass Gospel Project. She reunites with her former PossumHaw bandmates after 6 years to present new, original acoustic folk-grass music, plus some PossumHaw favorites.

The group had their regional debut at the Whallonsburg Grange in Essex, NY, where Manager Mary-Nell Bockman said, "the combination of talent, passion, and songwriting in the band is breathtaking."

Colby and her bandmates have received accolades, including Vermont Vocalist of the Year and Vermont Song of the Year (Tammie Awards, Barre-Montpelier Times-Argus). The group's strong rapport built over years of performing together makes for a band that can go light and heavy, solemn and joyful, fast and slow.

"We are so excited to be back on the stage in Tinmouth," says Colby. "We loved playing there in years past as PossumHaw. The energy we get from the Tinmouth audience is always so great, we are really looking forward to a memorable night."

Though the Tinmouth Old Firehouse Concerts are not yet back in action, we're happy to share that the Pawlet Library will be offering Coffee House Concerts ~ with an upcoming concert of August 14. As always, support live music, and enjoy the summer!
