Kati Kertesz Teaches Music My lifeโ€™s mission is bringing joy through music and performance. Music heals & enhances lives. Art and music was an intricate part in our family and upbringing.

I get up every morning determined both to change the world and to have a hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning the day difficult. --EB White

I teach all ages. I especially like to encourage adults to study and cherish their dream of discovering the musician inside of them. I started playing the piano as a child as soon as I could sit up. I have been studying and playing music for ove

r thirty years. As a child I studied ballet, music, and acting. My father was a classical pianist and artist. Our house was constantly filled with music and laughter. I have also been an actress for over twenty years; I have acted in theater in Philadelphia, New York, and the local surrounding area. I have also produced shows in the area, most recently for the Stockton Inn in Stockton, NJ. My approach to learning music is both Old School and New School, that is, appreciating the classics and embracing the new artists. My philosophy is both serious study and fun discovery. I encourage the students to create their own songs. I teach sight-reading, understanding the written notes as well as hearing them, rhythm, improvisation, theory, technique, and performance skills.

Music teachers get this. However, there are 3 sections of Fรผr Elise, 2 of them are quite difficult. ๐ŸŽน

Our Story

I get up every morning determined both to change the world and to have a hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning the day difficult. --EB White I teach all ages. I teach students of all ages. I support young and mature musicians in their quest to embrace and educate their musician within and without.

Would you like to acknowledge your dream of being a musician? I say : Bring it on! Ring it through!
