We can’t believe we celebrated THREE years on September 1st. Despite getting busy and forgetting, it doesn’t take away from our gratitude for what these last three years have meant to us. We have seen highs and lows, but we are so thankful for all the support in every season. Here’s to many more years to come !

Fun fact, their grandfather Leroy Swafford came to the movies at The Star Theater in the early 1950s. We love that we are carrying the family legacy of the Star to our kids.

We are Jim and Christy Swafford, the owners of ! Here are a few fun facts about us:

We have two amazing kids who get to watch their parents pursue God’s calling to start this business even if it seemed crazy to others. Having faith and being faithful is something special we want to pass on to our kids.

Jim’s dad went to the movies at The Star Theater in the early 50s. This is a family legacy. He has fun stories of his cousin letting him sneak in without paying .15 to see the movies.

We continue to grow and expand the services we offer. This is from decorating for events to assisting during events.

Do you know what the worst thing you have to do as Event Venue Owners?

This is also one of the questions that we field the most, “When should I book” the best answer is as soon as the date is confirmed. The great thing is that we have dates still available for ‘24 and are booking into ‘25 (Possibly ‘26 for those real planners).

THANK YOU!!! Jim and I are truly overwhelmed with the love and support. We have had more bookings the last few weeks than we have ever had. There have been moments the last 6 months that we weren’t sure how we would make it. This isn’t being dramatic, but the state of where we were at then. It brings tears to our eyes and joy to our hearts to see people see the character and charm of our beautiful historic venue. The future is looking up!
