Seasons Greetings and Yuletide Cheer are upon us! Join us for the annual TRF Living Christmas Card!
Most recently, we didst journey to the fair and merry land of Galveston at the invitation of Galveston Historical Foundation, where the streets were adorned with cheer and the air filled with the sweet sounds of celebration! The King and his royal court didst attend the splendid Pickwick’s Lantern Parade, part of the renowned Dickens on the Strand event.
As we marched in the spirit of the Yuletide Season, the King did proclaim that the festivities were a wondrous sight, and his royal heart was filled with joy at the gathering of kindred spirits. The court does extend its heartfelt blessings to thee, noble subjects, with wishes of peace, prosperity, and much happiness this holiday season. May thy hearths be warm and thy spirits light!

On Episode 62 of “Hear ye, hear ye A TX-Style Renaissance Podcast”, the King speaks with Randolph Markham. He is better known as Lord Randolph, owner of Chain Maille Fashions. Before retiring he and his wife Jane, the owner of Janes Coyne Jewelry, have been a part of the Teaxs Renaissance Festival for over 46 years. His chainmail designs are known throughout the country, and all have enjoyed his provocative fashions by watching or participating in his famed Chainmail Fashion Show which occurred daily from his booth's balcony. His love of creating chainmail led him to Jane, the Texas Renaissance Festival and the ability to confront the trauma he experienced in Vietnam. He credits George for creating an environment in which he could face down his demons and begin healing one day and one link at a time. Texas Renaissance Festival is partnering with Ridley Scott's @gladiatormovie to bring you a mighty competition!
This Saturday, November 16th during our Barbarian Invasion weekend, 10 loyal gladiators will be selected among YOU, from our kingdom!
Gladiator II will provide a prize pack to each contestant, and we will provide a free ticket and preferred parking pass to those who are selected! Our Gladiatorial Champion will also receive a Silver Season Pass to TRF 2025!
The competition shall include-
- A Test of Strength!
- A turn on the Royal Quintain!
- A climb up Jacob's Ladder!
- A Battle upon the King's Log!
