On this blessed Day of Christmas, the Kingdom of the Texas Renaissance Festival sendeth forth warm wishes of joy, peace, and good cheer to all our loyal friends and family. May thy homes be filled with laughter, thy hearths with light, and thy hearts with the magic of the season.

Whether thou dost celebrate Christmas, the turning of the year, or the many holidays that grace this wintertide, know that we are grateful for thee and for the memories we have shared throughout the season.

A visit from TRF for Xmas

Though our own festival gates lie quiet for the season, the spirit of merriment and medieval magic still awaits thee upon the rolling hills of the Texas Hill Country! While we prepare for next year’s grand season, we bid thee check out the Kerrville Renaissance Festival — a lively celebration of knights, jesters, music, artisans, and hearty cheer!

This spirited faire returns in January and February of 2026, spanning three enchanted weekends — January 17–18, January 24–25, and January 31–February 1 — each day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Held at the charming River Star Arts and Events Park at the Hill Country Youth Event Center in Kerrville, Texas, this festival offers whimsical entertainment, artisan craftsmen, jolly performances, games, and delicious fare for all ages.

The Yuletide season draweth nigh, and with it cometh a most cherished tradition of the Kingdom — A Living Christmas Card- A Xmas Visit from TRF! Each year, His Majesty the King, joined by his most noble companions, doth gather to share tidings of joy, mirth, and Christmas cheer with all loyal subjects across the realm.

This grand performance shall be broadcast live upon our page on Tuesday, December 16th, that all may partake in the warmth and wonder of the season’s greetings.

Be sure to return to this very page on that day, lest thou miss this festive tradition bestowed from our royal court to thine own hearth.

Looking for a summer adventure your kids will talk about for years? Our friends at Sherwood Forest Faire host Sherwood Forest Summer Camp, a one of a kind experience where campers step into a real medieval village and live the magic for themselves.

At Sherwood Forest Summer Camp children learn archery, blacksmithing, leatherworking, swordplay, and many other hands on skills taught by experienced instructors in the heart of the forest. Campers explore the village, take part in themed quests, and may even help Robin Hood and his Merry Folk protect Sherwood Keep.

Looking for a festive way to begin the holiday season once TRF wraps up for the year? Our friends at Sherwood Forest Faire are hosting the Sherwood Celtic Yuletide Festival and it is a wonderful way to keep the magic going.

Enjoy three days filled with Celtic music from The Byrne Brothers, Blaggards, Syr, Killian’s Angels, and many more. Watch the Highland Games, see the talented Sherwood Archers in action, and discover seasonal food, warm mead, and one of a kind artisan treasures.

Families will find plenty to love with visits from Santa and Mrs Claus, hands on holiday activities, and Celtic traditions that fill the forest with joy.

Don White the White Wizard and friends Booth 58 at the Texas Renaissance Festival has been making ceramic white wizards for almost 50 years attracting collectors and imitators.
