Shopping for Bridesmaids' Dresses Doesn't Have To Be A Chore!

Always consider the season for color, style, and texture of the dress fabric. Will the dresses be long and flowing, short, dainty and feminine, or somewhere in between? How about the neckline; halter, off the shoulder, spaghetti straps, strapless? Before you make your decision, make sure to consider the different body types of your ladies. You want the dresses to compliment and flatter them all - no matter their body type. Are there accessories, such as belts, that can be added to enhance the dresses? Your choices are endless. Just don't overdo it!

Will they wear matching dresses, or will they choose a dress that is just right for themselves in matching colors and fabric? Brides, make sure to have a couple of styles in mind beforehand so as to stop the drama about style choices before it has a chance to get started.

Do your research with several dress shops and online shops for the styles and prices that you have in mind; then, schedule a time that would be good for everyone to go and play dress-up for the day! Make it fun! Schedule to have lunch or dinner afterwards. After all, this is just one phase of the wedding planning experience!

When all is said and done, this is one of the major tasks that encourages bonding and a sense of camaraderie between a bride, her bridesmaids, and maid-of-honor. Enjoy each phase!
