Tolono Park District

Founded in 1975, our mission is to enrich the lives of our community and foster a sense of community, wellness, and recreation.

We offer three parks in Tolono: West Side Park, East Side Park, and Shipley Park. We have 3 parks in Tolono, yes 3! There is West Side with all of our baseball diamonds, Shipley with some playground equipment and a basketball court, and East Side which is home to the Soccer fields and is in progress of getting grants to improve. West Side being the main park here also offers 2 lighted tennis court

s, 1 lighted basketball court, 2 pavilions available to be rented for parties or other events, 3 baseball diamonds (Small Diamond, Big Diamond, and Mary Kate Fied) all of which are lighted, a concessions stand, 1 gazebo also able to be rented, an enclose tots play area, a larger play ground for the older children, a smaller play area for the younger children, Also West Side is home to the Tolono Fun Day held the last weekend in June every year, and so much more! The park does close at Dusk, please cooperate with any law enforcement / park employees at all times, to talk with someone at the park you can talk with any employee on duty or call someone from contact page and we will handle your situation the best we can.

We're working hard to make necessary improvements to our parks. It's disappointing to discover damage to the parking lot within 24 hours of project completion. Please respect our public parks, so we can continue to focus our efforts on improvements instead of repairing deliberate damage.

The Tolono Park District seeks parties interested in sponsoring a new scoreboard at the big diamond. This is a one-time sponsorship payment of $4,300, and your name will be displayed for the life of the scoreboard.

Tolono Park District Board has petition packets available for Tolono Park District Board seats open in the April 1, 2025 Consolidated Election. The following seats are open are:
▪️ Trustee (2) – full six-year term
▪️ Trustee (3) – unexpired four-year term
▪️ Trustee (2) – unexpired two-year term

The board meets the second and fourth Monday of each month. 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗺.𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗲@𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀.𝗼𝗿𝗴.
