Last week, the Essex Agricultural Society held their annual member dinner in Coolidge Hall at the fairgrounds. Members of the executive board presented information from last year's Topsfield Fair and the hope for having another great fair this coming year!

The Topsfield Fair is owned and operated by the Essex Agricultural Society, a non-profit organization of approximately 1,321 members. The Essex Agricultural Society is dedicated to the following task: "To encourage, promote and preserve Essex County agricultural activities and to educate the general public regarding their importance. We strive to do this in an atmosphere of fun and excitement through the medium of the Topsfield Fair." The Society is governed by an elected executive board. The membership includes an 11 Day pass to the Topsfield Fair too!

We're proud to announce that we ranked #40 for Top 50 Fairs & Festivals in the country by CarnivalWarehouse.com! Our attendance at this year's fair was 418,470! We are so thankful for all that attended and we can't wait for October!

2 of the largest fairs in North America are in Massachusetts and they are located in Springfield and Topsfield.

It's National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Week! National FFA Organization. FFA is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. It helps to develop members' potential and discover their talent through hands-on experiences, which gives them the tools to achieve real-world success. We look forward to the Essex FFA Chapter members helping at the apple cider stand each year at the Topsfield Fair too!
