Early July 2023 ➡️ now. It’s fun to look back on how my style has evolved. I’ve eliminated the flowers that don’t fit my vibe (bright Benary’s giant zinnias, globe amaranth that’s annoying to grow, etc) and created a more sophisticated mix of colors and varieties that I’m hoping people will see and say “oh, Alana grew/designed that”

I’m definitely still defining my style, but I like to call it “moody romantic” and focus on different types of greenery, pastels and dark reds/purples.

Feast your eyes on these glorious lisis. I’m obsessed 🤩 the ruffles on the lavender “Grace” pair are just SO delicate, and the “celeb wine” variety will get a brighter, pinky/purple hue with time.

The first Madame butterfly snapdragons are here and I was SO excited, I arranged them with some almost spent peonies, poppies and mint. They’re all sooooo pretty. I just can’t with spring flowers. They are superior 🙌

2024 subscriptions are BACK and bigger than ever!

What’s the same: you receive gorgeous, locally grown flowers weekly while supporting a small, female owned business.

What’s different:

- More a la carte options: last year we had two options, spring and summer. This year choose from spring mini (4 weeks), spring full (7 weeks), summer (4 weeks) and fall (4 weeks)

- A different format for summer/fall blooms: Unliked our spring bouquets which come wrapped in paper, these will be pre-arranged for you in a glass jar and can go directly on your table!

-More blooms: we’ve added even more flowers to our growing space this year, so expect your favorites from last year, plus some exciting newcomers.

Spent the afternoon cutting, tagging and digging up dahlias with my friend . It took us about 4 hours to knock out most of her dahlia beds, and it was so lovely to hang with a more experienced grower and mom with lots of good advice on growing flowers and raising kids.

This was a much needed mental health break for me- there’s just something special about getting your hands dirty. I’m sure I’ll be sore tomorrow, but for now I’m mostly feeling renewed and grateful. So glad Stacie and I connected on Instagram back in the spring- she’s an awesome friend and mentor.

Linda’s Baby (aka the brighter pink dahlias you see here) has been absolutely pumping out the blooms over the last few weeks, which means I have lots of dahlias to play with. Here’s hoping she’s a good tuber producer so I can’t plant a ton next year!

Took a social media break to just work with my hands and feel creative. I made this arrangement 3x. Yup- first 2 times were epic failures, bc I didn’t follow .erc’s cooking advice of “always use a bigger bowl than you think you need”. In this case, the advice would be “always use more chicken wire (support) than you think you need” 😂
