Today is the first day of Spring!!!!

And it’s like the universe knew because… We got our new seed rack today! I ordered this thing from an Artisan on Etsy and I’m so pleased with how it turned out! It’s so much easier to showcase all of the Indiana Native Seeds from on it! I obviously need a bigger one because I have even more natives to go up on it, but the official PM racks are still in the works so if you want the full list of offerings before our Spring Flower Sale on May 3rd, just send me a message!

So many exciting things in the works and I can’t wait to share them with you all very soon!!! 🩷

The fancy daffodils are budding up!!!! I am so ready for the first blooms on the farm! I planted a few hundred white narcissus with pink cups, and not that I should have a favorite amongst my daffs, but I MAY be most excited to see those! 🩷🌸

Wooohoooo!!! Winter sowing success!

We’ve got Bee Balm, Anise Hyssop, Foxglove, Baptisia, Echinops, Rudbeckia and so much more for me to plant into my pollinator garden here in a few weeks. I can’t believe it worked! First time trying this method and I’m so pleased. Love seeing all these little green babies!

A new preservation piece went out the door this morning. There’s something so special about creating a work of art from the flowers from someone’s special day, whether I made the bouquet or not. This posy was made by and was the perfect size to fill a custom shadow box with a picture frame inside!

BREAKING NEWS!!!

We have our first dahlia sprout of 2025!!! Grow baby, grow!!!

While I don’t suggest everyone do this unless you have time on your hands and a nice warm grow room… I pot up dahlias that I’ll need earlier in the season and then plant the pots in May so I have blooms sooner. I did this with just a couple of dahlias last year and it worked wonderfully so we’re doing it again! There’s one specific June wedding I’m trying to hit with the vibrant colors and the fun textures and forms dahlias bring to the table. 😍 Spring is in 13 DAYS!!! Ahhh I can’t wait!!!

The deer are HUNGRY. One of the row covers had blown over so they mowed down my fall-planted snapdragons that already appeared dead. If any of the snaps do actually live I’m hoping this will count as pinching my plants. 🤣

Annnnnd, THAT’S A WRAP!!! Valentine’s Day 2025 was a smashing success, despite the freezing temps forcing us to move the party into my significantly less adorable, though much warmer garage for some of the time. The stand is empty, and every order has been picked up! Some new faces this year and many repeat customers, and I can’t begin to tell you how wonderful you are!

Thank you all for the love, support and for continually showing up for us as a small business and part of this community. We are so thankful for you! We can’t wait to see you in the Spring with OUR flowers!

We’re back baby!!! The Valentine’s Flower Stand is back in action!!!

3717 W 525 South, Trafalgar is where you’ll find us. The flower stand is self serve and we take cash Venmo, and PayPal. There are cards for you to write your sweetheart, a note to go with their beautiful flowers, and there are still a few boxes of chocolate left!

When your in-laws win the Valentine’s gag gift competition with this hilarious present… Bonus points if your hubby rolls his eyes so hard he gets a headache. 🤣🤣🤣

I hope YOUR perfect man got his flowers already because we only have a few left! I’ll be making arrangements until we run out of roses but when they’re gone, they’re gone! We open at 9 am and will go until we sell out! See you soon, and may the odds be ever in your favor!!!

The heat mat has proven to not be enough, with the wind chill combined with the outside temperature, we are starting to get a little too frozen! I’ve moved everything that was out at the stand into the garage where it’s warm so come on back to do your shopping! Sorry it’s a little less “grab and go” but I want your loved ones’ flowers to not be crispy!!!

You’ve got a date! …With Broken Maple Farm’s Flower Stand for the sweetest blooms for your sweetie! Our Valentine’s Day pop-up starts at 9 am tomorrow and Friday (Feb. 13th and 14th!)

Oh, and our first customers get free chocolates!!! (Please only take one box with your purchase so that others can have some too.)

The Valentine’s Stand is self-serve- You can pay via Venmo, PayPal, through our website or by putting cash in the cash box!

I will be in and out doing deliveries and class parties for my kiddos but if you need me (or I need to restock the stand) just come on back to the garage for assistance. If I’m out of office (LOL) there will be a sign up with my approximate return time. I hope you have a LOVEly Valentine’s Day! 🩷
