Our Oyster Social special this week is a smoked seafood plate which includes house smoked Atlantic Salmon and PEI Mussels. Accompanied by horseradish cream, house mustard, pickles and toast points. The final Taste of Fall Series is happening on Wednesday, December 6th! The courses include a roasted garlic, butternut squash ravioli with a thyme cream to start. For the main course we have a herb encrusted venison loin with a red wine balsamic reduction. For dessert we have a Lemon spiced Bartlett pear with mascarpone! As always we will have 2 of our staff facing off to see who can pair the best wine with each course! Tickets are available for $65 each at brengmanbrothers.com!

On November 8th & 22nd our culinary team will be preparing 3 course meals as two of our staff members try to pair the best wine for each course. One of the wines that is said cannot be done here- Cabernet Sauvignon. Careful site selection, meticulous vine management a great barrel program culminate to a wine that proves that Northern Michigan can be known for its Reds. A tried and true staple of our growing region- this years Cabernet Franc is phenomenal. A steady presence of loganberry leads you on a journey through a variety of herbs, spices and even a hint of chocolate. Our Cab Franc is the perfect sipper leading into this cozy fall season. This weekend is the last chance to buy tickets to our Red Wine Release Dinner on Thursday- only a few slots left for this multicourse dinner paired with every one of our new release reds!

Next on our release list is one of our staples here at the winery- Left Bank! Cabernet Sauvignon sets the backbone for this wine with its ripe fruit, cigar box aromas and firm tannins. Just like the Right Bank, the gentler characteristics of the Merlot come in to balance out the strength of the Cab Sauv. In anticipation for the Red Wine Dinner on Sep. 28th we will be spotlighting our upcoming reds that will be released that night. First up is our Right Bank Red Blend. The strong yet silky tannin structure from our Cabernet Franc blends beautifully with our voluptuous, fruit forward Merlot adding notes of blackberry and plum. The end result is soft, yet powerful red that showcases the best characteristics of the varietals in thes blend.
