We proudly operate out of Crain Hill Vineyard located in Elmwood Township near Traverse City. Our tasting room and event space sit atop a gentle slope that looks East towards Traverse City and Old Mission Peninsula across the bay. Between our three vineyards we have around 60 acres and 15 varieties of vines that produce high quality cool climate wines! Focusing mainly on vinifera varieties you may

find some familiar wines such as Riesling, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. You may also discover your new favorite, lesser-known wine such as a Gemischter satz, Leelanau Blanc de Blanc or a Viognier. The aim is to produce high quality wines that express the terroir in the soil, sun, and winds of these unique sites. We’re committed to bringing our passion for the industry and love of hospitality to our winery and vineyard experience. Give us a call or send us a message and we will be happy to help you out!

Our Story

Brengman Brothers owns and operates Crain Hill Vineyards, located in Elmwood Township near Traverse City, Michigan. The vineyard consists of 45 acres with approximately 20 acres in grape production. The main focus is vinifera grape varieties, including Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The aim is to produce high quality wines that express the terroir of the soil, the sun, and the wind of the site. We’re committed to bringing our passion and history for the love of growing and pleasing people to our winery and vineyard experience. Winter operations are: Monday through Thursday - Appointment only (call 231 946-2764 0r email [email protected] to setup an appointment) Friday, Saturday - 11:00am - 7:00pm Sunday - noon till 5:00pm
