Baby Ezra. You came before 32 weeks, you spent weeks in the NICU over an hour from home, your mom worked a long ER shift right before this session, it was a very hot day with the windows open, everyone was tired. So many yawns. So many reasons not to do this session.
But look at what you have to look back on now, what you have to remember the sleepless newborn haze. There is joy, there is togetherness and laughter. And now you, your mom and dad, your sister, your grandparents, they all have this day to live in forever and remember the hot summer breeze, the newborn grunts, the newness of being a big sister, the beginning of this new chapter 💛

Fresh48 model call!
Looking for due dates September - November!
I have always longed to photograph newborn babies in the hospital but having my own littles made that a “someday.”
All my kids are in school now and I’m SO ready to start offering these!

Model calls require an application and are subject to availability. However, they only cost a small booking fee and include 5 images of your choice to keep (you can always purchase more).

Do the hometown ice cream session.
Just do it. Get messy, let ice cream drip down their faces, let them get the double scoop, just enjoy it. Enjoy summer, enjoy them being little, enjoy them being big, enjoy being in a place that means something to you, enjoy now.

Just maybe try to steer the husband away from blue moon if you’re taking photos 😅

This was the first newborn session in my entire career where I starting thinking about how to phrase offering them a reschedule before we even started because baby was having a hard day 🥺
I gave everyone some space and started shooting and nursery and soon enough, babe calmed down with dad. We had to pause several times to calm babe (not abnormal) but the photos speak for themselves, we beautifully captured this sweet, short, new parents chapter 💛

I won’t photograph your baby crying but I will take as many breaks as needed

I won’t let a bright pink paci stop us but I will adjust angles

I won’t stiffly pose each shot but I will gently guide to capture the realness of every moment

You may worry about how baby will do or how you’ll look post partum or what I will think but the truth is, I’ve had babies, I’ve had colicky ones and I’ve had ones that just wouldn’t stop breastfeeding for nothing. I’ve been there, it isn’t always picture perfect but it is perfectly your family and that’s worth remembering ❤️
