The power of angles and lighting.. I mean really how amazing does my dirty little 5yr old Mirage look with the sun setting behind her and this low angle? She looks like a much larger and impressive car than the run about car she is.

Shot last night with my phone and no post editing or filters used. Proof the person behind the lens is as important (maybe more) than the price of the camera. Hire a professional artist for those special memories. Not me, I am on break but another professional photographer 🥰

Back to School

Homeschool began again in my house this week and with it all the extra fun of settling back into the routine of lesson's and Co-op commitments. 10th Grade YALL 😲

So what does this mean for KSP? it means I am no longer taking bookings. In the meantime, enjoy the random postings that will pop up as I snap and share moments of my own, like this Sunflower that the birds planted in my backyard from seeds from hubby's birdfeeders. This will help keep the page active for the 12yrs of memories stored here for so many families.

I have watched her grow from a little kid that has eaten Thanksgiving lunch across the school lunch table from me, to awesome sassy teen, and cried at her graduation, now to watch her blossom into a mom (which I know she is going to be amazing at). She makes me so proud. This one was the perfect end to my summer photoshoot sessions. My Besties Baby All Grown up.

I got to stop by and see my favorite people in Georgia. This time we captured some forever memories with their son and his family. There was so much love, laughter and even a few tears (on both sides of the camera), but really, that is what makes for a great family photoshoot.

Early morning adventuring with Keli Wakeley Photography and our the cameras to capture some images of the Cattle Egret nesting colony on the Waccassassa River just down the road from my home...There are so many white birds in the trees at first you think they must be big white flowers..So many nests and hundreds of birds..Just one of the many hidden gems in Levy County, Florida. Really was a sight to behold and a great way to start the day.

Twirling at Sunset with the amazing Ms B in Tennessee this weekend. Ms B is class of 2024 High School Senior and wanted to capture photos in her uniform at a place that is special to her and her family. We had so much fun creating these majorette memories at the Memorial Park under what is thought to be the biggest flag in the state (30x60ft)

TAKE THE PHOTOS

So let me list all the reasons this photo session might not have happened if we over thought it.

1. Trying to line up schedules of people from 3 different states. GA/TX/FL
2. Hip surgery and last minute Dr appointments, for a person fighting cancer and pending kidney stone surgery for another.
3. 387 miles (and traffic thru Atlanta) the day of for me ( left home at 5am )
4. Very little pre-planning, so no co-ordinated outfits, signs or prop.
5. Only plan for was to capture some future memories to cherish.
5. Midday full sun, heat and humidity.

To be able to capture these precious memories for my dear friend and mentor with her daughter and Grandbabies that were visting from Texas, was so special. These are the moments we want the babies to remember. These are SUMMER 2023 AT NANA'S HOUSE

Just a reminder I will not be taking additional LOCATION bookings during the summer months (June to Sept) in Florida or Tennessee. Some limited studio dates are available in Florida.

I will be offering location session dates in the Fall, so watch this space for availability in both states.

While cleaning up the front garden, it is inevitable that that we would need to trim my wildly out of control plants and flower. I could not bare for the flowers to not be enjoyed for a little while longer, SOOO....

This past few weeks have been amazing, traveling to celebrate big life milestones with ppl that are dear to my heart. And this one is BIG..This was from our girls weekend get away to a stunning Bed and Breakfast to celebrate one of my favorite people and MY PERSON turning 40. She is seriously one of the most amazing women I have ever met. Kind beyond words, wise beyond her years and almost as crazy as me. Love you big Jody. 🥰🥰🥰

I can not even express how amazing today was. I got to be there and to witness the joy and love that Jessica and Clint share and to see them become man and wife. I will not lie, I cried more than once today, but for all the right reasons.

Though I don't photograph full weddings, capturing elopements I adore. Could be because 23yrs ago me and hubby eloped too? My only regret was no wedding photos, just one snapshot. So this makes me super passionate about making sure couples that choose to keep it extra small, dont miss out on freezing this joyful moment in time 💖
