15 years ago a “thirty something” girl stood on the lobby stairs at the Palace Theater and launched a wedding & event company with a sparkling champagne toast (of course) and a dream. If I could go back and give her some advice here is what I would say….
It’s ok to stay late, focus on getting things started, and be so determined to grow that you put everything into making it happen.
Always accept help graciously and with the knowledge that there will always be an opportunity to pay it forward. And when it presents itself…pay double.
Trust the people who believe in you more than you do yourself. They see your sparkle, even when you don’t.
Align with clients and couples who you truly believe in and wish to share their love story in a way that reflects the beauty of their relationship.
Take a break, take a vacation, take a day to do absolutely nothing or just get a pedicure and roam around Target.
Keep your inner circle close and fill
it with likeminded, kind, supportive people who show integrity and compassion.
Move on from relationships that no longer serve you. Acknowledge they existed for a specific reason and allow yourself to be grateful it happened but also that it is over.
Never stop learning, growing and reinventing your business.
Accept that you deserve to enjoy the benefits of all your hard work. Shift, realign and know you will now be open to growth in abundant ways.
Surround yourself with people smarter than you. Love them, appreciate them, care for them in many ways that show your gratitude.
As I enter my 15th year as a business owner I am so excited for this next chapter. I know it will be filled with tremendous growth, exceptional people, challenges and more successes. I am ready and can’t wait to share the sparkle.
P.S.
Oh and also…everything is “figueroutable”
