When I moved to Truckee in 2002 it was 100% for the snow. I have always loved the area and snowboarding has been a passion of mine from a young age. Throughout my childhood I had family in the area and have such fond memories of visiting as I grew up. When it came time to move out on my own I picked the adventure of moving to Truckee and working at Sugar Bowl Resort. I wasn’t sure if I’d end up staying or how I’d feel when the snow melted. To my surprise I found that I loved the area just as much in the summer months and decided to make Truckee my home. I think the saying goes come for the winter stay for the summer. 💖 I’m beyond blessed to live here and raise my children in this wonderful mountain town.
Winter holds a special place in my heart and whenever we have the honor of creating a winter wedding it invokes pure joy inside of me. There is something magical about a background covered in snow and a warmth that is felt when it’s filled with a family celebration. Are you team winter or summer?
