The only reason to do that is if you absolutely know that your stance on the actual issues that are meaningful to the American public are unpopular. Project 2025 puts the actual plans to turn the US into an authoritarian evangelical nation. This is NOT hyperbole. For those people who just routinely vote Republican because of taxes or one issue, it's imperative to look at the bigger picture of whether we want to live in America that is free for everyone are only free to believe how they want you to believe and live how they say you can live and love who they say it's okay to love.

I learned a lot from this short 12 minute documentary done by the year five students at a school in england! There's a real reason this particular community was the perfect one to do this documentary which also talks about how slavery still exists in the world today. And to think that there are Republicans right here in the United States of America that want to ban even teaching this factual history of the United States and the world. I had the pleasure of officiating a wedding for Sylvia and Dan (from TX) where they took over the entire Sierra Blanca Cabins on the river in Ruidoso. The had a Past/Present/Future Sand-blending into a Unity Vase and I wrote their ceremony to reflects their unique perspectives, beliefs and especially---their sense of humor! There was lots of laughter during the ceremony--I just love that! Here is the email I got from here afterwards, ver batim:

"Hi Celeste! We are very grateful and blessed that we found you. The ceremony was unlike any other wedding we have been to. Thank you so much for taking the time to personalize the ceremony for us. It was very personal and accurate to our personalities and our dynamic as a couple. I married the cutest young couple on Wednesday. The just stopped by to get married in Truth or Consequences on a road trip from Cali to Virginia! Both dressed all in black, but they were very much into each other and the words I was saying. Sweet.... : )

It's been an eventful year, and I apologize for not posting more! However, just seeing again on TV about the Pecos Christmas on the River took me back to when I had a wedding book for during that time, but they changed it to Roswell. I STILL REALLY want to officiate a wedding during the time when we could do the Christmas on the River Tour. I actually had purchased two tickets and donated them back to the Chamber in time for them to use them for a raffle.

Well, I haven't had to provide witnesses OR photography for me last few weddings, so no photos of any kind to show. But I'm looking forward to the 4th of July with at least one of the weddings including both photography and a Native American Blanket Ritual! I felt bad at having to essentially turn down a change of date on one wedding as I am going to be leaving the day before they wanted their wedding to be, for a weekend with friends. There was just no way to make it work out.... And it was a Bride who has attended two of my weddings as a guest! I really did want to accommodate her. Oh well...

Well, this is the first Oct 31 that I can remember that I won't be officiating a wedding! Last year we drove all the way to White Sands National Monument for a sunset wedding on Samhain. Some years I've had three. Oh well, that left me to have a personal Halloween this year! Happy Halloween and may you celebrate the Dia de los Mu***os in whatever good-spirited way you choose... : )

My Saturday wedding was blessed with a rainstorm! Held under the gazebo at Winding Roads at Dam Site Elephant Butte Lake, everyone decided to view it as a cleansing in preparation for their new life as a married couple! No photos were booked but I hope they'll send me a few. : )

Did y'all know that facebook doesn't have a category for "Wedding Services" or "Wedding Officiant" just "Wedding Planning" and "Event Venue"? That's why they are not accurate up at the top of my page. Also it's still needs some work, but I set up a new page focusing more on Wedding Photography yesterday at www.new-mexico-ceremonies.com.
Check it out and let me know how you would tweak it! I'm thinking more photos for sure; also I didn't like the way the page designer cut off the top edges of the photos just enough to irritate me lol. Do you think it's good enough to get more interest/business/clicks to my ceremonies website? Or will it send people off to other places?
