This post is being written with a heavy heart. We are very sorry to inform our MVP RETRO RENTALS crew and followers that we have lost one of soldiers 😔. Esmeralda Morales my sister and best friend went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 12, 2023. I’ve been trying and trying to write this but I was hoping I would wake up from this bad dream. Esmeralda was a beautiful inside and out. She was a very loving and caring person. She was always willing to help and always did without being asked. She saw someone in need she would give the shirt off her back or give her last dollar. She had food and you were hungry she wouldn’t think twice to share.
Esmeralda was born in Douglas, AZ and was raised in Tucson, AZ. She attended Blenmen Elementary as well as Keeling Elementary. She went on to Mansfield Middle School as well. She attended Tucson High School for a short period of time and eventually made it back to her birth town to attend Douglas High School. She graduated with honors from Pima Medical Institute Medical Assistant program. She worked as a Medical Assistant at Arizona Community Physicians for many years and was Site Coordinator at the time of her death.
Esmeralda was always a very outgoing person. She always wanted to play perfesional football. She was willing to get down and dirty. She participated in mud racing obstacle courses, horse back riding. But fishing and camping were always her passion. Esme and my dad would spend hours on the lake night fishing from sun down to sun up.
Esmeralda was always a very warm caring and nurturing sister to me and our brothers JJ and JP. There was no doubt in our mind that she would make a great mother which she was. She went on to have 4 beautiful children Ruthmarie, Maximo jr, Angelina, and Ilianna. She also has 8 beautiful grandchildren.
Esmeralda was not always a mommy’s girl but had a great relationship with our mother Maria Santa Cruz. They were very close and she would love it when people mistook our mom for her sister. Sometimes they had a rocky relationship ,as mothers and daughters sometimes do, but they always had my dad Joe Santa Cruz to help them mend it. Needless to say Esmeralda was a daddy’s girl. when she was down and out yes she would except our hugs but only dads hugs could make it better.
Unfortunately we lost our dad way too soon in 2022 and there was always a spark that just never came back in her eyes. I know she tried and tried and I know she loved very hard on this earth and had so so many people that loved her back.
No one on this earth could have prevented the tragedy that stuck our family the night of October 12. Just try to get comfort knowing that she’s in a better place without hurt or pain and is hopefully fishing and dancing with dad. Making tortillas and singing corridos with nana locha. And reminiscing with her best friend Amanda Castro.
We love and miss you so much sister. Until we meet again. XOXO!
