Last week I picked up a few flowers from our local growers just for “me” . I was rarely taking time to “play” with flowers, this year I’ve gotten to create more for myself in 4 months then I have in 6 years.

Taking the time to slow down and appreciate my talent has not been easy! Shoot, even recognizing I have a talent has been hard!! 😅

has a beautiful glass barn, I love the rustic charm and just how easy it is to add your personal touch.
A little over three years ago I had my own baby shower here and although I loved the Smilax in the poles, I knew we had to make them special for this special mama to be (any day now!!) 🙌🏻

Smilax!
It’s definitely a hot item 😅 most inspiration photos I receive from couples has Smilax and I know why, it’s romantic, it’s whimsical and it just add that extra something to the bar or signage or even makes for an amazing WOW moment if we suspend it. BUT there’s an “off” season for some florist. I say for some because most experienced florist will know where to source it from even during that off season. 😉

When you say “simple” I picture arrangements or bouquets done with only a few ingredients. Just like this “simple” bouquet

This gorgeous bouquet only had
Playa Blanca roses, ranunculus, spirea, lisianthus, spray roses and Huck…with a small touch of parfafolia.

Simple doesn’t always mean cheap or inexpensive.

Pro tip: when speaking to your florist, be clear about your budget and always clarify what you mean by simple. 😉

I love a lush arch !

Brides: did you know you can go big on your ceremony and have us repurpose those florals to reception?

My advice is to move them to your sweethearts table, band stage, or dessert table. Allow us enough time to logistically make it from ceremony to reception without running into your guest.

The key is to move them to places your guest have not seen or gone through. So repurposing to a welcome table is out 😉
