I am Rod Treat and I have over twelve years of experience shooting, editing and producing compelling, high-quality event highlight, promotional, educational and fundraising videos. I specialize in documentary filmmaking, event videography, freelance camera operator/ director of photography work, freelance editing, and drone cinematography/photography. My recent projects include the production of a

promotional video for Iron Gate (a soup kitchen and food pantry in downtown Tulsa), work as a camera operator on a Facility of the Year Award video for the United States Tennis Association and pre-production of a short documentary on the rise, retirement and comeback of UFC fighter Jimmy "The Brick" Flick. My primary shooting equipment includes the Canon EOS C70, Canon EOS R6 and DJI Mavic Air 2S along with full professional audio and lighting setups. I have extensive experience in multiple video editing platforms. I currently edit and color grade in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Davinci Resolve Studio 18. I have a passion for telling stories in a visually interesting way that draws your audience in and holds their attention. So I got an amazing gig a few days ago. UFC legend Chael Sonnen was in Tulsa to attend the NCAA Wrestling tournament and his producer needed a videographer/camera operator to shoot some videos of Chael over several days for his massive YouTube channel and other social media following.

Chael was truly a pleasure to work with. He's a consummate pro, a gracious host and a real gentleman. We celebrated our youngest son Josh's nineteenth birthday yesterday and Chael didn't hesitate to say yes when I asked if Josh and our oldest son Drew could accompany me to the final video shoot last night.

Thanks again to Chael and his producer, Ryan Parsons for an awesome experience!

As Jimmy"THE BRICK"Flick prepares for his UFC comeback fight in Las Vegas on Saturday, January 14th, I'm releasing a preview of the short documentary I've been shooting for almost a year (with more still to shoot) about Jimmy's life, retirement and comeback. I am planning to release the film this spring.

When I met Jimmy about a year and half ago, I liked him immediately and thought his story would make a compelling documentary. I can honestly say that my admiration and respect for him has only grown since then. He has overcome so much adversity in his life and worked incredibly hard to achieve his dreams. It has been a privilege and a real pleasure to work on this project and although I can't wait for people to see it, I will be sad to have this experience come to an end.

I'm particularly grateful to Jimmy for his unwavering support and participation in this project. A special thanks is owed to Jimmy's coach, Leo Perrucci of Forza Combat Sports and Fitness for letting me film so many of Jimmy's workouts and always being so accommodating. Thanks also to Broadway Barber Shop, CrossFit Sand Springs, RYAN BJJ and Charles Page High School for allowing me to film Jimmy at their respective locations.

I've been having so much fun shooting Jimmy"THE BRICK"Flick for our upcoming documentary about his fascinating and inspirational story. Thanks to Matthew "Mitchy Slick" Mitchell of Broadway Barber Shop for letting me shoot Jimmy at the shop today. Thanks also to Jimmy's coach, Leo Perrucci of Forza Combat Sports and Fitness for letting me shoot so many of Jimmy's workout sessions as he prepares for his UFC comeback fight on January 14th.

I plan to release a preview of the documentary in a few weeks. Stay tuned for updates.

I had the distinct pleasure this last weekend to begin production and shooting on a short documentary about Jimmy"THE BRICK"Flick, Former LFA: Legacy Fighting Alliance / FCF Flyweight Champion, former UFC , Bellator MMA fighter and BJJ Black belt. On Friday, Jimmy gave a very moving and inspirational presentation at Career Day at Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, Oklahoma and on Saturday evening, Jimmy appeared as a contributing commentator at Freestyle Cage Fighting in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Jimmy also has an autobiography coming out soon, 'The Brick Wall: The Unbreakable Brick'.

I am very excited about this opportunity to help Jimmy tell his remarkable and inspiring story. Stay tuned for updates on this project.

On an absolutely beautiful day last Saturday, I had the pleasure of shooting video at Saint Francis Oklahoma Foster Care's Fishing Day at Lake Sahoma in Sapulpa. It was a wonderful event held in partnership with several Sand Springs businesses and organizations including Broadway Barber Shop and Nathan Spencer Agency, welcoming foster families, children and others interested in learning more about fostering.

I was there to shoot video for an upcoming short documentary I'm producing on 2021 Tulsa World's Best in the Burbs Broadway Barber Shop and owner Matthew Mitchell. These are a few screen grabs from the footage.
