Seasons Greetings! Here are some FAQs if you're wanting to know more about hiring carolers for your next event:
Q: Do you go door to door, like old-fashioned caroling?
A: Technically, we can if something like an HOA or resident community were to hire us (we would love to - give us a call!), but generally, we operate as a company of professional performers available for hire for parties, events, businesses, etc. We have four modes of performing that lend themselves best to the full caroling experience. We call these "Strolling," "Park and Bark," "Wallpaper," and "Table-toTable." "Strolling" is when we stroll and sing. This works best for shopping centers and parades. "Park and Bark" is where we perform in a concert sort of way, where we are the entertainment focal point in one designated spot. This works well for formal dinners, retirement homes, or events. It also can work on a stage. "Wallpaper" is where we'd stand against a wall or at an entrance and sing more softly to create an ambiance. This works well for parties or restaurants. "Table-to-Table" is best in a dining situation where we can go from table to table and take requests from patrons or guests. This works well in larger restaurants, retirement homes, or events with tables. We are flexible in these modes and skilled in meeting the requirements of the space or client. You don't need to choose just one, we can mix and match and see what works best.
Q: Our guests are a mixed group of beliefs and religions. Can you do non-religious songs?
A: Yes! We have plenty of secular or non-sacred songs in our book to accommodate that request. We also have a Hannukah song if the request is ever made!
Q: We only want carolers for 45 minutes. Is that possible?
A: Our minimum engagement is one hour/$500, but they don't have to carol for that entire hour. If you would like carolers for 30 minutes or less, or the one-hour price point is prohibitive, please call or e-mail us, and we'll see what we can work out.
Q: Can we tip the carolers?
A: Absolutely!
Q: Can we make song requests?
A: Absolutely!
Q: Do you have "Mary Did You Know?"?
A: We do not, but we have another beautifully poignant song option about Mary called "Gabriel's Message"
Q: Do you need amplification to carol?
A: No, we do not, and we actually prefer it that way! Caroling is traditionally an acoustic (and a Ca****la) activity, and that really lends to the magic of it. Having said that, we can be amplified if the client wants. We have an amplification system that we can supply, but it is an additional charge. If you have your own and want to operate it (microphones and a speaker system), then we are happy to use it at no charge.
Q: When will the carolers arrive?
A: The carolers arrive on site, parked, dressed in costume, and are ready to sing no later than fifteen minutes before the start time. That allows a buffer time in case of any unforeseen situations like traffic, parking shortages, changes, etc.
Q: Do you offer your services throughout the year for other seasons, like weddings, Valentine's Day, etc?
A: Well, if you'd like Christmas songs for your wedding or a Fourth of July event, then who are we to deny such a request? But in all seriousness, we only have Christmas songs to offer, and we have the most guaranteed availability from Thanksgiving through Epiphany (January 6th).
Do you have any other questions we can answer? We are more than happy to! Please give us a call/text or shoot us an e-mail if you'd like more information or would like to book us!
Warmly,
