Sometimes I pinch myself to think that in the last year I had the honor and privilege to plan my daughter/son/in-law and son/daughter-in-laws weddings. The most fun, happy experiences. I loved that they both looked like and felt like them!

When said she thought it would be cool if their wedding would start out as black and white but would gradually get more colorful...I thought, that does sound AMAZING!!! But then I got nervous.....it's harder than it looks and I had a "client" I really wanted to please 🩵 but I've got to say I LOVE how it all turned out! It just got better and better! Absolutely no way it would have turned out without the incredible vendors we worked with in OKC! They made it everthing we could've wanted and more. Our world that night went from the classic chic black and white to the most colorful disco ball filled party scene we could have ever dreamed of. Thanks to everyone for bringing all the color to our world! It was perfect!

This last year our family has grown, our crew has expanded, broadened, deepened our connection to this place, each other. Our journey has been enriched, sweetened by the love our children have brought to us through themselves and their loves.

Pierce and Maddie's wedding was the culmination of a year of dreams coming true. In these images we see a couple beginning their life together with the full force of generations of love and good intentions coming together to see them off as they begin something beautiful...but there is also the other end of that..the culmination of their families' dreams for them to find their reflection in another.

Pierce found a light in Maddie and she brought with her all the love behind that light, a family who is steadfast and kind and fun, and we are all enjoying those rewards.

This new family that we have, where our children have more people who love them, means more love all the way around 💫 funny thing about genuine love, it makes room for more, it is abundant.

On these days, when couples get married and love is multiplied we all rejoice in the joy of more 🤍💫 and we are eternally grateful for every drop.

Although the people were the stars of the entire weekend, we think we added a few things to make it extra fun, memorable...festive!! The venue and our hosts were wonderful and gracious and our vendors were all incredible. Thanks so much to all the wonderful efforts that go into making a night for the memory books. An incredible exclamation point to the most wonderful year happened back in June. I truly spend so much of my time wondering how I got so lucky. How did I find myself in the middle of this life surrounded by the best people I know...grace is a wonderful thing.

You hope with all your heart that your children are equipped to maneuver the world, discover their path, find love, connect with others and grow their life. It's all that really matters to a parent.

I love how my son, is looking at Maddie in all of these images. Lighting up with genuine joy, but more importantly a relaxed comfort that represents their deep and abiding love, a true friendship and a belief they have in each other that each come with the best intentions, and a commitment to pursue this life together.

Their wedding weekend was down the turnpike from home to a place I've come to love, for lots of reasons but mostly because Maddie is from there and she loves where she came from. The rehearsal dinner and welcome party was a night I'll never forget. Held in Pierce's favorite restaurant in OKC, it felt like the two of them. Intimate, fun, authentic, high quality with a little spice. It was the perfect place to touch base with all the people they love so much, listen to their two sisters get choked up because of their deep respect and love for their sibling, watch two fathers beam with pride, witness two mothers grateful for their children finding their soulmate.

The joys that come in multiples, like two weddings in one year, emphasize the blessings of our lives. Gets down deep within our souls and makes a mark that deepens through the years. We sit listening to the love and the memories of the past while looking brightly towards the future and we can't help but think what a time it is to be alive.

Maddie and Pierce, we love your love. What an amazing night we had, kicking off the beginning of your life together as the Bradys. That has the perfect ring to it! My heart is full with gratitude, that you found your person, and that we get to witness your beautiful life together unfold. I love you dearly 🤍💫

In 2020 we snuck in some joy. It wasn't easy but we did and it was so beautiful. Now 3 years down the road these two have one precious little boy and another baby on the way. Their life is beautiful just like the two of them, inside and out. I've known Jen since she was the age of Griffin her son, and I love seeing her become this wonderful mom, I love that she and my daughter are still close after creating plans for a lazy river at 5 and living many years far apart, I love that she found a wonderful partner in Greg and they both work hard to create a good life together. I love that her mom and I are and will always be close that her sisters are also so precious to me and that they show up on important days for my family, that Pierce walked Lori down the aisle at Courtney's wedding and the memories of long walks in our neighborhood and Halloween nights are vivid and sweet. Life long family friendships that endure are treasures and this one started with our two oldest playing house and being engineers on South Gary Avenue and lives on, because it was important to all of us. We love you both and love your little family. Happy anniversary you two!! Our most popular rental, the siren, and you can see she calls your name. We love its clean lines and its transparent natures allows for some of our other decor to have their moments too. Black or white trimmed, the siren is quickly becoming a classic.

Wrapping up our look back at our last two weekends we found ourselves on the beautiful Oklahoma plains just outside the great city of Pawhuska. I remember in college I had a friend from Pawhuska and he invited us to a Friday night lights football game there, and back then in 1979 I remember thinking how charming it was. I love how has brought the attention back to this small town and by virtue all the small towns. And the beauty of knowing your neighbor even if they are acres away 🤍 Btw the way she's brought the best pizza I've ever had too Go get some, now!

We were so honored to help host "a darn good time" (she gave us this great tag line for the invitation) at her home. A very fun engagement party filled with all the important things including a mechanical bull, cowboy and cowgirl hats, ranch water and wide open spaces. It was a dream for me 💫

Looking at these pictures makes me think falls right around the corner. And I'm darn goodin and ready for that sweet life (see what I did there 😉)

A GOODIN TIME was had by all! Found ourselves in the magic spell of where everything shines and we OF COURSE were HERE for IT! This was such a wonderful event to plan. There was so much joy behind it working with and to create an amazing night of celebration prior to their destination wedding in September. Hannah and our wonderful friends created the invitations and back stage passes which were amazing and deserve their own posts. We took so much inspiration from those creations and came up with a fun and very happy plan fitting for the iconic

All the amazing vendors from that day brought their A game and tbh their A game is really A++++++++

We couldn't be luckier than to do what we do for people like Hannah and Wyatt, you make our dreams come true 💫💕

My daughter's beautiful wedding party last fall 🤍 Basically going for bad ass or something like it. She had the best time finding the right look for the right person. Spreadsheets, text threads, drop shipments, exchanges, FaceTimes...all to create a look that felt like her people dressed for the occasion. I love seeing these girls walking down our driving and getting ready in our home. Some I've known since they were two and some just a couple of years but all integral to my daughter's life. Bad ass women, there for the big and little moments and on this day, with the sun streaming through the trees. Magic just magic 💫

I've gotten a lot of dms about this fabric so I thought I'd give you the scoop 💕🩵

We ask our clients to complete a questionnaire and try to get to know them well so that we can personalize their events. In this instance we found out about and love for their fur babies. At the same time, I was working on the feel and design of the event for them and was leaning into vintage coastal Italian Nona style. I was inspired by all the iconic Italian tablecloths that adorn a family table or the tables in a charming village restaurant. After studying the patterns and the feel I wanted it hit me, why wouldn't we include images of their fur babies. So we designed the graphic, ordered some fabric samples and chose two different types of fabric, one with a slightly more elegant touch and the other more cost effective for the drape panels...which I love as a dramatic but clean touch in a space. We wanted an outdoor restaurant feel. We ordered the fabric, developed the final concept and asked our local friends and to produce the final product. Which they both did beautifully. Daniel with the draping and Visual Fx with the tablecloths...I wanted the scalloped edges but at a reasonable effort. And they were wonderful 💕

I absolutely LOVE the outcome of this design and how it personalizes this experience. Custom with some fun mixed in! And I'm so grateful to Mackenzie and Jason for including us in this very fun night where they celebrated with friends and family the beginning of their marriage. ✨🤍

We love designing the tabletop 🍽️ It's both timeless and current and can be a wonderful place to make a sweet statement. I was looking through the ones we've done in the last couple of years and it brought such joy. One of the reasons I opened our store was because I wanted availability of unique and beautiful tabletop items available for all occasions. ✨🤍

As an event planner, I had begun to notice over the years that my hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma was short of something important...a beautiful, happy china shop. When I was young there were multiple places to shop and register, the iconic Miss Jackson's of course but also The Bazaar and Nielsens, The Fair at the Farm and others....but the tradition of setting a beautiful table faded and one by one those amazing places closed.

But as the world began to change and the visually compelling table began make its presence known, a new generation discovered the fun and joy of creating an inviting and lovely table. The problem was there was no place in Tulsa to curate a table with the china brands we've loved for years, no place to pick up a piece of the amazing and get the feel of it, no place to register for some of the most treasured lines. So I opened and remedied that 💕

I also wanted a place to have available these fine china lines on a short term basis to our clients setting tables for their special moments so we developed a rental aspect to our store. A unique place in the middle of our town to access some of the most beautiful lines temporarily. None of us have enough room or even want or need to have all the beautiful dishes in our home, but wouldn't it be fun to have access to a closet where all the pretty things are at your fingertips ✨🩵

It's been an interesting and challenging road to do something new, but we are getting there and it's really such a happy place. I hope you'll stop by and visit with me, I'm usually there upstairs working on events, or meet our wonderful manager or you might visit with if you are working on a little event and need some expertise.

We are working hard to provide you with a place that feels like a shot of joy, a respite from the mundane, a chance for a little magic ✨

I guess this picture proves you aren't my little boy anymore. You're married now and have found your way to adulthood with a young lady now named Brady. And my heart is overflowing for you.
And us. She sees all the things, we do. All the very good things.

You have always been the nicest person I know. When I talk about you to others that might not know you, I always say, "He's the nicest person I know" You are nice because your heart says to be, because you see past everything a person brings to you and laser in on the fact that they want to be treated with kindness and sensitivity and you do exactly that. Even at an expense to you. But I'm certain you don't see it as any expense, you see it as the right way to be, the only way you move through the world. Now that doesn't mean you don't have your limits...you've definitely got those, but your starting point is where your nature lives, where you accept all types, genuinely find an interest in their path, look them in the eye, sit with them where they are. And as you grow older you will see how cherished those characteristics are, how rare and unique they have become, how treasured they will be by all who love you and know you.

In a world that can feel unwelcoming, knowing there is someone who is consistent in their behavior, dependable in their kindness, steadfast in their goodness is a gift that we are all lucky to be on the receiving end of. And we as your parents are just plain lucky. We haven't done anything to earn such a wonderful son, so it is obviously the luck of a very good draw.

I remember of course the day you were born, you were crying and I remember thinking, I hope I can comfort him enough he feels the love. But it wasn't what we could do for you that became important it was what you did and do for us. You make us all feel like the world is ok, will be ok, filled with so much more good than anything else. Whether it was that little boy or the young man today, in your eyes you see the kindness and the acceptance of others. And now you are the one comforting.

Happy 28th birthday you are all the best things we could ever hope for 😊 Love you so!

ABD is growing! We are adding an event planner position to our team. Some critical skills would be to be detail oriented, can switch from creativity to spreadsheets, loves hard work, is professional but warm and approachable. Prefer knowledge and familiarity of graphic design and excel spreadsheets along with other event platforms. Has had experience working in deadline oriented ventures and experience with creative endeavors . We are looking for someone who is very comfortable with taking initiative while working as a team player.

Happy 65th mister or should I say congratulations! Think of all the money you will be saving. The over 65 discounts, medicare, social security....ahhh the beauty of age.

Looking at this handsome pic of you from Maggie's wedding you look like you should be running for something. President isn't a bad idea, after all you would be amazing and at 65 the baby compared to these last two...it's all in the perspective.

Whatever living 65 years brings it brings one thing for sure, reminiscing. It's hard not to wander into a haze of memories and through the moments that have gotten us here. I haven't been with you the entire way( that would've been weird) but for the last 35 I have, and gosh you should feel so proud. Creating such a comfortable life for yourself and the ones you love. Knowing what you find interesting and following it every day. Carving out a life that looks like you wanted...a little luck, but a lot of skill, discipline, knowledge, got you to a point that so many people only dream of.

You've watched your family grow and flourish, providing the security and bacon flipping tips that make all the difference. You've stretched your wings for us, and pushed yourself outside your comfort zone..and you love a comfort zone, who doesn't ? You've listened to the same cassettes of grateful dead shows over and over again, loved your lunch routine, maintained the same haircut, felt satisfied with khakis and a blue blazer as a fashion statement. You've found the secret of life. Just be yourself with all your might and the rest will follow.

It goes quickly, these years, especially the good ones. And you've had lots of those. Lots of really interesting, beautiful years. But since BRADY in 2024 is up for discussion looks like you've got a lot ahead of you too 🇺🇸🗽

Whatever the future holds, and even though we know it's shorter than the past, I can't imagine what wonderful things are still in store for you-Happy Birthday Mr. President! Oh someone's already sang that darn it. Love you doll! My friend forgot to send me the photos from a party we did together (speaking vendor talk not bff talk)...she thought I'd probably gotten what I needed on my phone ....🙄 right we take similar pics...and as I started going through the images I got teary.....because I saw the generations, the pride, the joy, the love. If you don't believe me slide on through and check out 3 & 4. Look at those grandparents, their pure adoration for their first grandson, their pride, their joy. Long lives being filled with the sweet stuff and they are soaking it up. I love meeting the families, hearing the stories, catching a glimpse of someone's life and character. I was so happy for Tate, the graduate, and his mom and dad...his dad an alum of Tate's chosen college, Purdue..his dad proudly sharing with his friends what a boilmaker is(the drink not the mascot, we had both) But who I was really happy for were those wonderful grandparents, coming from far and wide to bask in a little bit of all the wonder their lives had brought. And you thought it was just a graduation party with some balloons 😉

Happy number 5!! Love the joy that first photo captures right after you were married!! And it continues to this day! You two are the cutest and sweetest 🤍 and I'm so happy for the wonderful life you've created!

I'm so fortunate to have this bond with my couples because they become so much a part of my life. Every time I see Brooke whether when she comes into the store, or when I see her out somewhere, she always greets me with the warmest hug and smile. She makes me feel like family. Now she and Christian have the most precious boys that are lucky to be on the receiving end of their parents genuine love and warmth.

It's wedding month for these two, and someone is jumping for joy!!

We just got everyone seated at their seats, for both the wedding and rehearsal, everyone's favorite part 🤪...and we survived! We are doing all the invariable last minute check lists and if I think about it too much I'll cry. It's the last wedding I'll plan for a child, and it's been amazing! But those pesky lasts feel bittersweet....you know I can't believe this is it. Yet I'm so ready for these two to start their life together as husband and wife. And I know they are too. Maddie's been a part of the family for a long time, but time to make it official! After all Maddie Brady is a perfect little fit!

I've loved watching my youngest navigate life as a grown up, kind and good, thoughtful and curious he's found his way to a wonderful life with his best girl by his side....truly each other's best friend, they have both found their way together. And there is nothing that gives a mother more joy than to see their children happy, truly happy.

Pierce hasn't been quite as involved as Maggie was.......kind of curious if he knows what the invitations look like, hahaha kidding..maybe.. but the other day at our house I could see his excitement building, and I loved his genuine enthusiasm.

Its a unique experience to get to plan something so important and so forward looking for others. I truly think of it as an honor, a gift, intimately aware of all the details, dreams and hopes that go into this day and hoping they are fulfilled...I think deeply about it all, and how wonderful it should be. It has particular meaning when it is my child and their beloved but its also easier and fun because I know them so well, and I'm so lucky to have known Maddie for awhile. Creative, smart, kind, she had visions and ideas, opinions, direction that I can't wait to see come to life! Love a gal who knows what she likes!

So here we go the countdown begins to the most wonderful days, your life together! But let's "kick it off" with one super fun weekend in the 405! I think we are all going to be jumping for joy!! Special thanks to for love and amazing photos ✨🤍

Happy Memorial Day to this suave sailor(my dad 🤍) and all the other folks who went where they were called. Some never coming home. I marvel at their sacrifice, their honor, their steadfastness and am grateful for their fortitude, strength, courage.

The one thing I have come to know for sure, is this short life can be filled with meaning and value. Every person that I've loved that is no longer here on earth has left me with sorrow, a void that is unfulfilled, a longing for them to come back. And even people I don't know, once they are gone, I can be impacted deeply by their stories, their lives well lived.

I think in our dailiness of life we forget how important we might be to another person. We misunderstand our value, underestimate our importance.

There are true heroes among us, who sacrifice their own lives for lofty principles, they are the angels among us...but we all have a chance, in sometimes the quietest moments, the simplest gestures to be a hero.

Honoring all the heroes in our lives 🤍❤️💙
