Fall is in the air! Our "Drawing on Memories" art session with early-stage Alzheimer's Disease individuals and their caregivers was such fun today as we painted pumpkins and enjoyed apple cider and butter cookies! Here are a few of our in-progress and completed painted pumpkins!

Inspiring Teambuilding today with Phillips Theological Seminary at WaterWorks Art Center! Three teams painted individual canvasses to represent new beginnings in curriculum for the upcoming semester. We had a great time and the paintings, as you can see, are fabulous!

We have three openings for this dynamic offering in our Jewelry/Metals Studio next week! Learn different types of soldering techniques including pallion, pick, sweat, and wire soldering. A kit fee of $30 (payable to the instructor) provides all materials necessary for the three-day workshop designed for beginners and experienced jewelry makers alike!

Happy May Day from the "Drawing on Memory" group! A beautiful floral still life was our inspiration today as we created these works of art! Each month we host an art session for individuals with early-stage Alzheimer's or related dementia, as well as their caregivers. Great teambuilding art session today with Hilti facilitated by Tom Conrad and Ingrid Hamel. Their theme was the Four Seasons as one can plainly see: winter, spring, summer, and fall are nicely painted and a lot of fun was had by all!

Award-winning watercolor artist, Nancy Harkins, is back! Value is a powerful tool that can be used to simplify, clarify, strengthen, and direct the viewer's eye in a watercolor painting. Beautiful hearts today at WaterWorks Art Center made by a fun group for our monthly Alzheimer's special event, "Drawing on Memories." These special valentines are made from pieces of tissue paper affixed to a clear, laminated background and can be hung in a window to catch the light and provide a colorful tribute to Valentine's Day!
