May 31, 2024, will commemorate 103 years since the Tulsa Race Massacre, where the American epicenter of Black entrepreneurship, business, and wealth was destroyed. By 1921, Greenwood had over 100 Black-owned businesses, including a hospital, library, movie theaters, and retail stores that were burned to the ground. has created the 1921 Awards to celebrate and elevate eight Tulsans who embody the spirit of Black Wall Street.

“Feeling Fresh” We had a blast at the #hungryforaction conference. Quick video of our demo and recipe for gazpacho verde. Thank you @freshrxok and @hungerfreeok Recipe below Ingredients: • 1-2 seedless cucumbers, cut into chunks • 1 to 1 1/2 cups Vegetable stock • 2 avocados, pitted • 1/4 teaspoon lemon zest • juice of 1/2 a lemon • 1 clove garlic, chopped • 2 green onions/scallions, chopped • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh dill, plus extra for serving/garnish • 10-12 large basil leaves • 1 jalapeño, seeds and ribs removed or 1 green bell pepper • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, plus extra for drizzling • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar • salt and pepper to taste • Greek Yogurt (optional/garnish) Instructions 1. Combine cucumbers, Stock, avocados, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, scallions, dill, basil, jalapeño, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar in a high powered blender. Blend until smooth. Season to taste with salt and pepper, and blend again to combine. Chill for at least 4 hours or overnight. 2. To serve, top with thinly sliced cucumber, chopped fresh dill, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, and a drizzle of thinned Greek yogurt and dill Serve immediately! #okc #oklahoma #chef #gazpacho #soup #cheflife
