Veterans Day Employee Spotlight:
Chris, Executive Housekeeper

This Veterans Day, we’re proud to spotlight Chris, Executive Housekeeper at Postoak Lodge, whose dedication to service is felt both in his role and throughout our community. Born in Minnesota, Chris began his commitment to service early, joining the U.S. Navy at just 17. While stationed aboard the USS Jason Dunham DDG109, he specialized in electrical engineering, developing the technical skills and discipline that continue to shape his work today.

After his naval service, Chris transitioned into hospitality as a server and bartender before joining Postoak in December 2023. Starting as a server, he quickly advanced to maintenance and, in July 2024, took on the role of Executive Housekeeper. Known for his strong work ethic, natural leadership, and problem-solving abilities, Chris has built a dedicated housekeeping team, many of whom are young veterans like himself.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys the natural beauty of Postoak’s property, often spending his free time kayaking and hiking its scenic trails. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Chris for his service to our country and his ongoing commitment to excellence at Postoak Lodge. His contributions make him an invaluable part of our team, and we’re honored to recognize him this Veterans Day.

Employee Spotlight: Luke, Executive Chef

Luke’s journey with Postoak began in August 2023 as a part-time cook. His dedication and culinary talent quickly shone through, leading to his promotion to Sous Chef within a month, and in just six months, he was named Executive Chef. Luke takes pride in crafting fresh, locally sourced cuisine, often using veggies from his own garden and Drummond Beef. Committed to sustainability, he composts food waste to nourish his soil. Fun fact: Luke is also the brother of our Corporate Sales Manager, Rose!

A heartfelt thank you to Luke for his incredible dedication and passion in the kitchen. Luke, your commitment to fresh, locally sourced ingredients and sustainable practices has elevated our culinary experience. We appreciate the creativity and care you bring to every dish, and we’re lucky to have such a talented Executive Chef on our team. Thank you for all you do!

Employee Spotlight: Taylor, Director of Operations

Taylor’s journey with Postoak began in Spring 2022 when she joined as a Guest Services Supervisor. Her dedication quickly led to a promotion to Front Desk Manager in Spring 2023, and by Spring 2024, she had advanced to Director of Operations.

When asked what she loves about Postoak, Taylor shared, “Postoak is the most beautiful natural place I’ve seen in Oklahoma. It’s a gathering place for every kind of event, and I love seeing groups come together and enjoy each other’s company.”

Beyond work, Taylor treasures her family, both near and far. She has a passion for making soaps and cosmetics, and she enjoys relaxing on the patio with her pug, Theodore, while listening to her extensive record collection.

Thank you, Taylor, for your unwavering dedication and the passion you bring to Postoak. Your commitment to creating memorable experiences for our guests and fostering a welcoming atmosphere truly shines. We’re grateful for all you do as a valued team member and leader.

Employee Spotlight: Corporate Sales Manager, Rose!

Rose moved from Kansas City and was immediately captivated by the beauty of the Osage Hills, leading her to join Postoak in 2021. With nearly 20 years of experience in hospitality, she started as a banquet captain and quickly advanced to banquet manager. Her passion for promoting Postoak as a venue for a wide range of events, from plant shows and raves to pool parties, led her to step into the role of Events Manager and quickly rise to Corporate Sales Manager.

Reflecting on her time at Postoak, Rose says, “The entire team at Postoak is hands down the best team I’ve ever worked with! The creativity and camaraderie we have is top-notch! Every day is different, and we’re always pushing the envelope to expand our community outreach and bring exciting new events and opportunities to Postoak Lodge.”

Outside of work, Rose enjoys yoga, meditation, attending music festivals, and is a proud plant enthusiast and dog mom.

Matt joined our Postoak sales team in March of 2024. He is outgoing, adventurous, and a stranger to no one.
With a career spanning 20 years in live event production, he is passionate about helping Postoak guests bring their vision for vibrant events to life.
Weddings, festivals, and family reunions are all areas of Matt’s expertise, and he loves the opportunities for creativity that they provide. �In his free time he enjoys writing, performing comedy, and a quiet evening building Legos with a nice glass of Bourbon.

Mike, an Army Veteran, joined the team in March 2024 as Director of Sales. He loves swimming, spending time with his family and Dalmatians, and has been happily married for 29 years. With a passion for sales and family, Mike enjoys playing the ukulele and keyboards, and his favorite travel destination is Hawaii.
