As the sun set this past Saturday afternoon this was the scene at Vermont Morgan Heritage Days Horse Show. Our family of exhibitors, volunteers, and sponsors sat down for a meal together at the exhibitor’s party. Over the coming week we have many more pictures to post, results to share, sponsors to thank, and show supporters to celebrate. Thank you to all our exhibitors, volunteers, and sponsors, who made the 2025 Vermont Morgan Heritage Days Horse Show a great success!
As the show edges closer to 45 years old we all have a lot to be proud of. The show in the most important ways has stayed true to its roots. Its founding mothers, Clara Hendin, Gladys Severance, and Polly Quinn envisioned a show that brought together the different disciplines Morgans pursue under one big event so that we could all appreciate their versatility and exhibitor’s ranging talents. Over the years this vision has thrived at the same time it has modernized. Now you will see many different breeds of horses participate and this year, special thanks to Show Secretary Ellen Turnbull, we now can accept online entries! As the show continues to evolve it is images like this of the exhibitor’s party that remain so meaningful to the show. We are still coming together under the auspices of celebrating the great American Morgan Horse despite what discipline we ride, or drive, the breed of horses we own, from backyards to big stables, enjoying and sharing in each other’s camaraderie and as always showing off the versatility and beauty of the Morgan Horse.
There is a village behind this show and we’d like to thank as many of those people as we can. Please don’t hesitate to call out special people in the comments too!
