Let me intoduce myself!
My name is Matthew Southgate.
I've been hosting and instructing painting parties for nearly a decade .
Now, I am the new owner!
I am thankful that Emma has entrusted me to carry on the business and keep moving it forward.
I am an Orange County native that also instructs art at the Bowers Museum and has produced several murals throughout the nearby area. I always look forward to seeing so many familiar faces return to my art lessons and parties with Brushstrokes.
Although weāre now open for in-studio and off-site parties, we are still happy to host you virtually! We were able to celebrate this birthday all the way in Australia via ZoomššØ
We have missed you! Although we have been loving our mobile backyard parties, we are excited to be opening the studio soon with lots of extra precautions! If coming to us still isnāt your jam, we are still available for mobile and virtual parties! Give us a call for more info!šØāØ
We are excited to announce that we will be reopening our studio for small private parties starting on June 1st! We will be following all mandatory safety guidelines because your health and wellness is still our top priority. We will be requiring that everyone who enters the studio wears a mask and follows our safety guidelines. All painters of differing households will be seated 6 feet apart and there will be no contact with the instructors! Again, your safety is our top priority so we will be taking all steps necessary to ensure that our studio is clean and sanitized! Give us a call to book your party today!

Today is very bittersweet as I celebrate my one year anniversary of buying Brushstrokes. As hard as these past few months have been, Iām so grateful for all of the amazing memories Iāve gotten to share with you this year and how fortunate I am to be doing what I love! Iāve never laughed, cried, and LEARNED so much in one year.
