Welcome to Wilcox Manor –

Thank you for considering Wilcox Manor for your special occasion. We decided on the name, as Charles Wheaten Wilcox was the original owner of the home. This historically significant property was once a hotel and a stagecoach stop. In fact, there are photos of the property with a horse-drawn stage in front of the house taken in the late 1800's. This house was converted t

o a residence by owner Charles Wheaton Wilcox who is one of Tustin's major pioneers. Wilcox's large collection of books was housed in the eucalyptus wood-paneled library, which is believed to be the first such use of this wood. Wilcox helped found and was a director of the First National Bank of Tustin. He also helped start the Episcopal Church of Tustin. Wilcox purchased the home in 1889 and moved it to its current location. At the time, the property was 10 acres and surrounded by Avocado trees. Much of the original property is now part of the 55 freeway. The manor’s landscaping is under constant adjustment and improvement creating a lush environment for you and your guests to stroll and enjoy the ample grounds. You will find hundreds of specialty roses and numerous interesting places to stop and take a photo or just sit and enjoy. You will see a number of historic trees on the property the Sycamore in the driveway and the camphor trees flanking the front of the house. The present owners, Lindburgh McPherson and Michael Demoratz have recently completed a major renovation of both the interior and exterior of the property bringing it back to its original grandeur. In 2013, the City of Tustin, granted the owners a “conditional use permit” for this property allowing for limited rental access of the property for use by those with discriminating tastes and a desire for a unique setting for their event. By choosing this venue you are part of a special limited group of individuals who will be given access to the property. You and your guests will not be disappointed in the setting or the incredible attention to detail designed specifically with you in mind. Your event at The Wilcox Manor is guaranteed to be memorable. The limited dates available are anticipated to go quickly – please consider making your reservation today.
