Before we were @linandjirsa we were just three business partners trying to learn photography and reach a vision for our work. For us, this process took years of dedication and refinement. Something we perhaps don’t speak enough about. But to all of you chasing big dreams that will take years to achieve, aren’t those the ones most worth pursuing?
As your wedding photographers with over a thousand weddings under our belt, we’ve picked up some CRITICAL insider secrets to make your prep time picture-perfect. Here’s how to get those stunning shots:
1- Surround Yourself with Love: Keep your best friends and family close. Their support and laughter make for the most heartfelt moments. However … (see the next tip)
2- Keep in manageable - If you have a large wedding party, consider asking them to join for the tail end (only). This can help you avoid the chaos of a huge group. Of course, if you love a little Chaos and partying, then do what fits your personality!
3- Schedule Your Turn First: As a gracious host, you might think to go last with hair and makeup, but this can cause delays. Be sure to go first and give yourself plenty of time. Next should be mom, sister, or anyone else you want to help you put on your dress or jewelry in the photos.
4- Declutter: Keep your space tidy. If you’re at a hotel, ask your room to be cleaned right when you wake up. (We can also help tidy up the areas we need).
5- Details Ready: Have your dress, shoes, jewelry, and other accessories ready for those beautiful detail shots. They don’t have to be arranged in a photo-ready layout. They just need to be in one place.
6- Anything can be photo-worthy - Your details don’t have to be limited to things going on your body. Consider adding in invitations, both rings, family wedding heirlooms, or anything that has sentimental value to you.
7- Relax and enjoy: Take a few moments to breathe, smile, and soak in the excitement. Your joy will radiate in every photo. The more you laugh, interact and have fun, the better the candid photos come out!
Your big day is a story waiting to be told, and with our insider knowledge, we’ll capture every beautiful chapter. Let’s make magic together! 🤫📸💍💕
