Short sleep stretches. Diapers. Burping. Tears. Soreness.
A different, unrecognizable body.
When a warm long shower is now a treat and highlight of the day.
But I wouldn’t trade it for the world…staring at her endlessly is worth it all.

34 years 🌙 what. a. year. the year I became a mama.

and I were blessed with the greatest news of expecting in the beginning of the year. From a super smooth healthy pregnancy to an unexpected immediate c section during labor. These black and white photos bring joy and trauma all at the same time. It all happened so fast, shivering on an operating table crying the entire time to holding Marlowe in my arms on that same exact table, barely able to feel my arms. It makes me emotional that that’s our first family photo in the OR but so thankful that everything worked out.

Being a woman and what our bodies go through is actually insane, awesome, mind blowing, and makes me so proud all at the same time. Can’t wait to show our girl how cool it is to be a girl ✨

I came in at 7 lbs 9oz on December 10th. A Sagittarius bebe!

Mom is doing well and resting while I get allll the cuddly contact naps with Daddy. They keep talking about something called “lack of sleep” but I’m getting lots so that’s all that matters…
