Gravitational lensing is proof that the star trek universe is possible.
Warp drive is a concept theorized, starting out in the 1960s. To travel faster than light speed requires warping space time. Gravitational lensing is proof that in a designed universe, warping space time is possible. How do they do this?My suggestion is to start studying condense matter physics. A warp drive engine warps space time by increasing its controlled density within its field surrounding the engine drive. How they do this I dont know. Engineering problem to be solved by a new physics and engineering department. Newtons Laws of gravity doesn't solve that problem. You increase the density of matter the ship would disintegrate into a singularity. You have to be able to control the curvature of space time. No physics department knows how to do that yet.
