March 2014, my now daughter-in-love, & I started planning the wedding of the year! I told her i would help with everything I could. I had never done this before, but was ready for a new challenge. I told her that a knew nothing about real flowers & didn't want to wait till the week of the wedding to figure out what we needed to do with flowers... So what did I do?? I got online & got a new educati
on in crafting I hadn't experienced before, & found a way to hand make flowers & turn them into bouquets. I feel the wedding was a success this past Sept (2014). My heart was overflowing with love as well. A few weeks later I found out She had shared pictures from the wedding & someone asked if I'd consider making flowers for them. Someone actually liked them other than us?? So, we shared the pictures again on facebook & I got a few more calls; some serious inquiries, some not so.. Then, this past Valentine's, my mom's church was having a banquet & she asked if I would make flowers to give all the ladies. I agreed, but knew I needed some help getting that large an order completed. So I had a 'girl's night at my house on Fri. We got busy! I was minding my own business, YES - just sitting over at the table making flowers - & the girls started brainstorming. Before I know what to say, they had turned this little hobby-crave into a BUSINESS!! Which was the LAST thing on my mind. Right then & there is where Parker's Fabric Flora was born!!! I've had DOZENS of inquiries. & have now made hundreds of flowers. This new adventure in my life has been a TOTAL God-send. :)
I can't wait to get started with each new request & when I finish, all I can say is "Praise the Lord" for having the opportunity put a smile on someone elses heart! I look at the flowers when I'm done with them. What I see is the reflection of most of our lives. I make these flowers from scraps of fabric. (Alot of times, from old worn out clothes that should be trashed. & yes, I do wash them first, for you skeptics, boys!! lol). When we let God into our heart & allow Him to be the Master of our lives, our life becomes His Masterpiece. Something more BEAUTIFUL than ANY of us can imagine our lives turning into. But more importantly... we get to see that the masterpiece will be eternity - in HEAVEN with our Heavenly Father. Because Heaven is a free gift. It's not earned or deserved. We have to repent of our sins, ask Jesus to save us,
My continuous prayer, as I make these flowers, is that they will end up in the hands of those who need Jesus' love the most at that very moment; or passed on to someone else after they've enjoyed them & share the GOOD NEWS of Christ. God is Good ALL the time!! :)
I thank you in advance for the opportunity to serve you, in creating your forever flowers - whatever occasion you need them. WEDDINGS, BIRTHDAYS, ANNIVERSARIES, ETC. I can use any fabric, any color.
