Time to enjoy the dark and cozy times as we recover from a wonderfully busy 2024! The factory will be closed from 12/21- 1/5/25. Orders and emails will be processed in the order they were received when we return on Monday 1/6/25. Happy Holidays to All!

Holiday Update: The factory will be closed from 12/21/24 through 1/5/25.
Orders received by next Tuesday 12/17 should be processed and shipped in time for Christmas delivery.
(Last day to order is next Thursday 12/19.)

Orders and emails received during holiday vacation will be processed in the order they were received as soon as we return on Monday, January 6.

Outer dimensions 12” wide x 11” high (excluding fringe) x 3.5” deep.

3 smaller pockets and 1 large compartment. Large enough to hold extra shoes, an iPad, phone, wallet, some candy, makeup... perhaps a small kitten or bunny.

Smallest outer pocket- 3.75” wide opening x 4.5” deep
2nd outer pocket holds most phones- 6.25” wide opening x5.5” deep
The opening of largest compartment is @10.25” wide, @10-11” tall and @2-3” deep
Inside stash pocket- 5.25” wide x 5” deep
50ish inch strap, adjustable/can be shortened.

This is Rain, whose respectful harassment over nearly two years resulted in the bag I gave her name to. I tempted her with every imaginable ornate bag from the World over, like exquisite fringed and embroidered Tuareg saddle bags, to get me out of it but no, she insisted I make it so I finally did. When I had some, she promptly came up and bought three.
She is an artist who makes a living tattooing and is in the process of starting her own studio.
I was going to call the bag 'Umma', 'Mother' in many languages, to continue the Levantine/North African theme (Walad, Habib, Khadija, etc.). But meeting her, she and her fiancé turned out to be so delightful, I felt she earned the distinction. Rain Delmar
This is not going to happen again, so don't get any ideas! 🙂

We will soon follow with our plan for how you can get one for yourself, in time for Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Solstice and whatever else you celebrate.

There’s a new bag in town.
It’s called Rain, honoring the artist who respectfully hounded me for about two years to make a LARGE bag with everything on it.
When I finally did come up with a pattern, we accidentally cut 400ish, so they’ll be slowly coming, they take a long time to make and are pretty lavish with decorations. They are mostly OOAK, priced at around 300.
They’ll hold your extra shoes, your MacBook, phone, some candy, makeup and such.
These six will be at the Maryland booth for the last two weekends.
When all faires are closed we will post pictures, of the first 36, available or not, to give you an idea what's coming and how you can order one.
Sorry MD will be the only faire to have them for this season, we'll figure out next year when it comes, depending on interest.

This is how Kevin and I spent our Sunday! Thank you to everyone who responded quickly! Most of the rest of your orders will be going out tomorrow or Tuesday. You can see on the rack in the last photo many orders that can’t go out until we hear back from you! Please check your inbox and your spam folders and try to respond before 11am tomorrow! We also have a stack of orders where we had none of the items you ordered and we will be contacting you this week to see if you want to preorder or cancel your order. Excited to see the last of these off on their way to their new homes!

You will receive an email when your order has shipped. We are working as quickly as possible to fill your orders but there are only two of us, so please try to be patient. Due to the volume of orders we will be deactivating the listing tonight at 6pm so we can get everything processed and start shipping tomorrow. Khadija Cuffs- on sale on our website Monday 7/15 at 12 noon.
Orders will be processed in the order that they are received but PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO FULL SETS. If order something that has already sold out, you will be offered the choice to cancel your order or “preorder” and have it delivered to you in January of 2025.

The Cuffs match the Khadija Bodices and Belts in fabrics and trims.
Lacing is elastic cord tipped with beads, keeping these up on your biceps for an off-shoulder effect.
Bead tipped, pleated Matisse, Brussels Washer or Shimmer fabric “wings” will match many of our other items.
Swatches 20.10, 20.22 and 20.23 have metallic Silver Fringe trim.
All others have Gold Metallic.

Heavily trimmed, tasseled, gorgeous piece in this series. Appliquéd over very heavy canvas, slightly curved to sit just so…on hips or waist, firmly tied with generous cord tipped with tassels.
Swatches 20.10, 20.22 and 20.23 have metallic Silver Fringe trim.
All others have Gold Metallic.

The count down to Noon EST July 15th continues! Here Ana is wearing color combo #20.05 over a Dark Brown Pixie top, a gold Mega bodice, an Oxblood Matisse Khadijah blouse (worn as over skirt) with one Sherry/Natural and one Oxblood Gitana skirt. You may recognize Ana from our booth at Sterling, Maryland, or (formerly) Tuxedo but did you know that in addition to manning our shops at Faires, schlepping our clothes all over the country and helping us out in the factory with production, she also has her own jewelry business check it out and/or visit her shop for the next 6 weeks. She is aaaaallll the way down in The Bogges.
