Before we introduce ourselves, we want to give a huge THANK YOU to the Montgomery Farms family! From the moment we had our first meeting about this crazy adventure, we knew it felt right. The Montgomery’s are one of the most genuine families and have so much love and admiration for their land and venue. We honor to give the same dedication and attention to their beautiful property, now known as Iron & Oaks!

Operated by Belinda, Chelsey and Josey Hicks. Belinda is the owner of Cedar Hill Catering. A long time business that has flourished into a savory homestyle catering company that serves the surrounding counties for over 28 years.

Chelsey is the savvy planner behind all these events. Managing Cedar Hill’s events and owner of CNB Weddings. She is here to answer all your questions and help with all your planning and coordinating needs!

Josey is our onsite venue manager, dedicated to bringing fresh and innovative ideas to life with her focus and creativity.

The Montgomery Family is Retiring!!!

To all our local communities, clientele, family, friends, community chambers, local officials, and countless employees over the years; we want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. It is bittersweet to formally announce that the Montgomery Family has made the decision to hand the reins of the venue to another family. Without your amazing support over the years, we could not have accomplished all that we have done! In 1996, we began with a hand-powered planter and started growing sweet corn just thinking, “oh this will be fun” and selling out of a pop-up tent across the road. Little did we know when the Corn Maze started in 2000 it would become one of the current leading wedding and event venues in the area.

The decision to turn the operation of the facility over to another family was not easy by any means. When Mandi (Montgomery) Bieda and brother “Little Dallas” took over operations of the facility 11 years ago, we absolutely loved what we did and watching the business grow while making our clients’ dreams come true! This was a joy that few people are blessed to experience. At the end of the 2023 season, though, the difficult decision was made to make 2024 the last year that the Montgomery Family would be operating the facility. It was time for the Montgomery Family, individually and collectively, to move on to other personal and business ventures! So, what does the future of the property look like?

Well, that does not mean the end of the property being a joy and delight for families and couples. Over the past year we have been interviewing and talking with potential families and venue owners who are already experienced in providing outstanding service to their clients. We wanted to hand the property to those with high standards of service to their clientele and love the property like the Montgomery Family have and still do, respectively.

After many months of discussions with individuals who possess outstanding qualifications, the Montgomery Family is proud to announce that Montgomery Farms will now be known as ... Iron & Oaks Weddings & Events and operated by Belinda Hicks and her daughters Chelsey and Josey.

We couldn’t be happier with this decision; knowing our creation is in wonderful hands! The Montgomery Family trusts they will enhance the venue, as well as allowing it to grow and prosper. We hope that you embrace them as you have embraced us and help support a business in Scott County that has existed for almost three decades.
