Real Food Made Simple???
What does that even mean? As opposed to fake food? What are we trying to say?

It's a simple line that encapsulates a whole philosophy of how we view food and our bodies and our whole system of surviving on this planet. We won't bore you with all of that here. I think the example will open your mind to the idea.

This is NOT a bash of another restaurant or their customers. Everyone has to decide for themselves how they'd like to eat and we respect that. We just want you to KNOW what you're eating, know what you're getting when you choose Roots, and maybe more importantly what you're not getting.

Now, we don't claim to be purists. In this version of our hand tossed crust we use enriched flour. When we first started we were making whole wheat crusts using local crushed grain pure wheat flour. It didn't make a typical American feeling pizza crust, so we compromised. But you can still get that crust for a premium if you prefer it!!

We still use some mayonnaise based sauces in our catering. We don't like soybean oil (the main ingredient in all mayo) and don't consider it the best option, but average Americans love their creamy mayo-style sauces and we respect that. However, you'll always have plenty of other options with us. In fact, you won't find any mayo-based sauces at Roots Bistro. It's a completely "seed oil free" restaurant.

If you want to know what you're eating, just ask. We can always tell you ingredients! We're working to get the nutritional info down on paper for everything, but that's a big task and we're a small company! So here's a little taste 😏 just to compare.

Hand tossed crust:
Kryol Premium High Gluten Flour, Yeast, Sugar, Salt, Olive Oil, Water

Roots Classic Red Sauce: Stanislaus Ground Tomatoes, our own blend of single dried herbs & spices.

Grande Mozz/Prov Blend Cheese: Pasteurized Milk, Cheese Culture, Salt, Enzymes

That's what we mean by "Real Food!"

Kings Poultry Farm Country Market has been in business since 1999. We are located at 8091 Horatio-Harris Creek Road Bradford, Ohio. King’s Country Market is a small store located in the same building as our USDA inspected poultry processing plant. All the poultry products we carry are raised, slaughtered, and hand processed under the King family’s direct supervision.
