So we have some BIG NEWS! … Silver Spork has a beautiful new home! Spencer and I have accepted the property & event manager position at the beautiful, historic in Soda Springs!!! In addition to hosting private rentals for weddings & special events, we will be hosting some incredible events that are open to the public! We’re so excited to bring the community back to the lodge to make even more amazing memories! First up will be an Oktoberfest event on 10/16! We’ll be posting details soon, so stay tuned!

Off the grill! Overnight marinade for the chicken thighs in last nights leftover green garlic chimichurri. Char roasted carrot & fennel over a carrot top & fennel frond pesto! Sharing our favorite quickle pickle recipe! Quick, easy, DELICIOUS.

Veggies of your choice - we used cauliflower, Swiss chard stems & radishes.
2 cups rice wine vinegar
2 cups hot water
2 TBS salt
2 tsp cracked pepper
6 TBS sugar
Fresh Rosemary and/or thyme

Add veggies to clean jar, disolve sugar & salt in hot water, add pepper, then pour over veggies. Refrigerate, they will be fully pickled after 2-3 days, enjoy within 1 month.

The story behind our name and the vintage spork that started it all!
On our honeymoon in 2016, we stayed in the beautiful English countryside for a few days, Dorking England, to be exact. It's an adorable, charming town filled to the brim with little antique shops. Spencer has collected antique plating spoons for years, so we stopped into one of the shops and as always he asked if they had any spoons. The two ladies in the shop got so very excited and came back with a vintage 1960’s SILVER SPORK! Of course, we bought it, because it was so fun and a very unique addition to our collection.

While we were brainstorming names for our business, right before we moved back to Auburn, we were visiting Emily's sister and her family (Hi & !). One night we were sitting at the dinner table, the kids were helping coming up with all kinds of crazy name ideas. We randomly told the story of when we found the silver spork... and then it came to us, SILVER SPORK EVENTS & CATERING!
