So 👏🏻 Chic 👏🏻

When D stepped outside for the first look, we may or may not have confiscated a beer can (can't have that in the pics when you're dressed so dapper, can we 😜). BUT THEN we hurried back inside and let them have there moment together! N stepped out looking so Audrey-Hepburn-chic I told all team members to stop setting up the ballroom and take a peek. I mean, we were ahead of schedule, so why not 😍

Because N&D hired us, they were able to focus on being with their family and friends and what they wanted to do together on the day of. Their photographer had the support they needed, and vendors were able to focus on tasks together. We were there to help family and friends when a safety pin was needed, a veil needed to be placed, water was requested, and so much more.

Cannot wait for more epic outfits! We know the Hive Tribe will BRING IT!

✨ EPIC SWEETHEART TABLE ✨

Maryland is COLD ❄ today so we'll just keep reminiscing on weddings from last summer in the hopes the sun ☀ will come out.

Designing sweetheart tables is one of our favorite things to do. We got to use the beautiful rentals at The Tannery Barn, including their wood sweetheart table, lanterns, candles, and chairs.

After the ceremony we re-incorporated floral pieces from their cross - it made it look like A&L were sitting in a meadow of flowers (we love repurposing). When it came to talking timeline, A&L wanted to have a private first dance and cake cutting. So during cocktail hour we brought them inside for their room reveal, private first dance, and cake cutting. That's why you'll see their cutting cake from Sage Cakery on the table 😍

🏦 We cannot wait to be back at Citizens Ballroom!

All of our Citizens Ballroom couples get help with the layout, timeline, room flip logistics, and of course the 🚙 city parking permits 🚗. Why? Because we want to make sure we make this as easy as possible for you! Getting married on the corner of Frederick's most popular streets is enchanting and fun and we want to make sure you and your vendors are set up for success.

For D&S's wedding we had a team with them at the church and another team at Citizens Ballroom setting up for cocktail hour and reception. We prep before your big day to make sure we know exactly what to do, where decor should go, and what vendors needs to accomplish even though there are 2 separate locations.

🌸 These Flower Boys were total pros. Look at that perfectly petaled aisle! 🌸

When SBD meets everyone for a rehearsal, sometimes we're not on-site. S&A's ceremony rehearsal wasn't on location but they were all total pros and rehearsal was perfection. We worked with S&A to make sure their friend who officiated had what she needed, all family members knew were to sit, and that their Flower Boys were confident (they were 😆).

✋ The SBD team also gave guest hand warmers and blankets 🔥 to keep cozy during the fun and emotional ceremony.

✨ Cheers to an amazing year! ✨

We're so grateful for all the incredible couples we've had the pleasure of working with in 2024 (more to come on that soon!).

But let's give a special shoutout to M&C! 🥂 We loved our monthly meetings with them. We built a deep connection, tackled their wedding planning together, and celebrated every milestone. Plus, we got to share our love for cats, purple hair, and all of life's adventures. 🌈

We started planning their stunning September 2024 wedding at Glen Ellen Farm in November 2023. 🍂 With our agendas, to-do lists, and frequent interruptions from Jynxx (the cutest tortie ever!), we had a blast bringing their vision of a jewel-tone, farm-flower wedding to life. 💐

When we meet monthly, there's so much more that we can tackle together! We're booking planning assistance/coaching for 2026. Reach out soon because if 2024 and 2025 showed us anything, it's that these packages get booked quick! And we can only take so many every year. 🗓

😊 Getting referrals from past couples is a blessing, and then it's an absolute honor to be hired by the referred. We are especially thankful when we get to work with families again. 😊

I am so thankful to this family for trusting me with weddings in 2022 and in 2024. First for C&J's wedding Citizens Ballroom in December 2022 (swipe to see!) and then again for H&G's wedding at Brookside Gardens, Montgomery Parks in November 2024.

Most of our referrals come from venues and vendors but client and guest referrals are near, dear, and extra special. 💕

🍻 We love breweries, you can always find the SBD team at one in Downtown Frederick. ESPECIALLY for lunch the day after a wedding! 🍺

So when we meet another brewery-loving couple who also wants to incorporate that love into their wedding day, we get VERY excited. C&M are well-traveled and we love this picture of their wedding bands and C's engagement ring with all of these brewery stickers.

Their elopement was a favorite and we hope we get to do many more elopements and microweddings in the future!

🍋 We love working and collaborating with Mel Kay Photography on wedding days. Including a semi-spontaneous photo shoot with some ci**rs at night by the Springfield Manor Winery, Distillery, & Brewery fountain! 🍋

‼ When planning your wedding, ask your already-booked vendors who they love that might match your vibe and budget. 1️⃣ It cuts your search time AND 2️⃣ it's a huge plus to have vendors that know each other and trust each other, too. Your vendors are a TEAM and of course, we will work with whoever you love but knowing we've worked with someone in the past and trust them is a plus for everyone!

😍 Wedding par-SLAY 😍

⏰ Before your wedding we email the media team the rough timeline and make sure that we each know what you want captured and they get the time they need. We do all of this prep 1-2 months BEFORE your big day so we can figure out if H&MU time needs to be adjusted and sort out transportation for everyone. Or maybe there's more you want to do now before your ceremony!? 🗓

📸 As coordinators we always want to make sure the media team gets the time they need. ESPECIALLY when you're getting married in Downtown Frederick in the Spring. Which reminds us, is it Spring yet? 🌼
