Today Marigold Event Company is 3 years old!

February 1, 2020 I created a post saying I was opening a wedding planning business called “Events by Morgan”. That year, we coordinated 3 weddings! Thank you to our first ever clients, , , and 🤗💕

In 2021, we welcomed .colleenanderson and to the team and we worked 15 weddings! 2021 is the year I started using my husband, .rinchack, as an officiant for some of the weddings we work. He has now officiated 6 weddings! This is also the year that we started offering our pet attendant service!

2022 was also incredible. The year we changed our business name, welcomed to the team, and really invested back into the business to create the planning flow we use today 😊 In 2022, we worked 18 weddings!

2023 is already so exciting. We have 10 weddings for this year! (can still take more😉) and we just hit 1,100 followers on Instagram 🤗

We would love to thank you all for your support. Without our clients and the amazing vendors we get to work with, this wouldn’t be possible.

Let’s get to know each other! We are Marigold Event Company. Wedding planners located in Vero Beach, Florida 💕 Here is a little about our team:

Morgan: owner and lead planner - started this company back in February of 2020 and has worked over 75 weddings in the last 3 years! Enneagram 3.

Miah: wedding planner - has been with Marigold for almost a full year and is a details queen! Enneagram 3.

Colleen: wedding manager - was a guest at one of our first weddings and has been one of our incredible assistants for a year and a half! Enneagram 2.

Cristina: wedding manager - was a client in 2021! She now assists at weddings and is a master at wedding design! Enneagram 2.

What time does your venue allow you to start getting ready?

Something you definitely don’t want to deal with is rushing to get ready. Before you sign a contract with a venue, see what time they allow you to arrive on your wedding day. Estimate at least 2 hours per bridesmaid getting their hair and makeup professionally done. If you can add a 2nd/3rd H&MU artist from the same team, this will help give a lot more time for photos before the wedding!

If you have a 4 pm ceremony, here is an example mini timeline:

🤍9:00 am - hair and makeup begins
🤍2:00 pm - detail shots/bride is ready to put her dress on
🤍2:30 pm - first look with future hubby/couple’s portraits
🤍3:00 pm - wedding party photos
🤍3:30 pm - bride is back in hiding before ceremony/guests begin to arrive
🤍4:00 pm - ceremony begins!

One of the biggest mistakes that engaged couples make in their wedding planning process is booking their wedding planner after the venue. We may be biased, but hiring a professional planner should be the first step for every couple as they start to plan their big day, and here are a few reasons why:

We hear all the time “I wish we hired you sooner!” Sooo many couples wait to book a wedding planner/coordinator because they think they can do it on their own. Next thing you know, it’s 2 months before the wedding and there are so many loose ends that need to be tied. We see it all the time. Here’s what you can do to avoid that stress:

✨ Book your your wedding manager early! We give helpful guidance along the way and are much more than a “month-of coordinator.” We are your wedding besties!

✨Book a wedding planner! We love our wedding management clients, but that special bond we have with our planning clients is just something else :) When our clients book planning with us, we really know the ins and outs of every detail and can help guide you in making all decisions so that your wedding reflects YOU!
