Fun Fact: Boutonniere is French for button hole which was originally designed to let men stick single flowers through their lapel. Boutonnieres should always be placed on the left lapel of your jacket. Almost all suit lapels will have a button hole which makes finding the right spot really easy as the boutonniere will be placed directly over it. Specifically, the largest part of the flower will be placed over the hole with the base of the flower where the ribbon covered stem begins laying on the lapel below the button hole. The stem of the boutonniere should be aligned with the sides of the lapel so it angles in the same direction. ✨

Hi all, it’s me, Julia! I haven’t done an introduction in a hot minute so I figured I’m over due!
I am the owner/ planner/ designer/ main gal behind Bijou. I am a wife, mother of two, Scarlett (8) and Carter (5), dog mom, and wanna be a friend to all!
I love, love. I love people. Connecting with others and learning about their journey is truly a privilege. Building relationships with my clients is the best part of my job. I love connecting with them on an emotional level and becoming someone they can lean on during the rollercoaster of wedding planning. I love finding the bits and pieces that make them unique and pulling it through in their design. I love seeing them surrounded by all of the people who adore them on their wedding day, and the carefree smile on their faces. It truly is an honor to call this my job and I am so beyond grateful for my clients past, present, and future; as well as the vendors who work tirelessly beside me to make their dreams come true!
