The Garter Toss is the number one tradition that you see being scrapped from the wedding timeline. Some people love this tradition. If it’s not for you there are plenty of alternatives to the garter toss.
What are your options on the garter toss? Keep it or toss the whole tradition?

Just a friendly reminder that your wedding is YOUR big day. You do what makes you happy. You don’t want to invite your moms second cousins daughter you don’t have to. You don’t want to do a garter toss, toss that tradition. You want to do a private last dance, those are memories that are going to last a lifetime. A wedding can be as formal or as laid back as you want. Don’t be afraid to speak your mind and make your options heard. I promise your planner and your vendors want to make your day everything you ever imagined it could be and more. ♥️

About a year out what should you be doing? There is a few things you should be working on.

*Wedding vision board: that could be a Pinterest board or you can go old school and take pictures out of magazines.
* Wedding budget: Talk with your partner and anyone else who is helping pay for the wedding and decide on a budget before you start planning wedding.
*Bridal party: Decide on who you want standing by you on your wedding day.
*Venue: once budget is set you can start to look at venues. Your venue should be one of the very first decisions you make. Popular venues can book up fast especially during wedding season.
Wedding date: once you find the venue of your dreams make sure to lock it down and set that date!

I did this with my wedding and I can say it was such a hit! Guests love hearing their songs come on and it got people out on the dance floor. 10/10 would recommend.

Sorry I’ve been a little MIA lately but I have some big news. In August we will be welcoming baby girl to our family 💖 We could not be more excited! I am officially half way through the pregnancy and I’m starting to get my energy back and have time to spend on my wedding business. With COVId long farmhouse tables are disappearing from weddings. People are wanting to keep a little more distance from others to stay safe. I am really hoping once COVId passes we see this trend returning.

How does your significant other make you a better person?

I know my husband makes me a better person by pushing me out of my comfort zone. I always planned on moving back to my small hometown after college. Now I have lived in 3 different states and I got to do it all with my best friend by my side. ♥️

Whenever a client uses Baby’s Breath in their wedding I always recommended that the bride and groom make sure to take some home. They dry SO well!!! It’s a beautiful piece of your wedding you can keep in your home ♥️
