My daughter Amber & I love to get pedicures together every month. We started this new tradition after the covid lockdowns were lifted. We were always the girls to stay home and do our own nails but we really appreciate the fact we can go out and support local businesses. Living in Florida, it is pretty much all year round flip flop weather, so we need to keep those toes looking cute.

The first time we were there, Amber brought her sketchbook and drew a portrait of each technician to show her appreciation. The next time we came in, they were like “oh, your back - we keep our pictures right here at the desk”. Doesn’t it feel good to show love & appreciation in unexpected ways? 

It was funny when we got home this last appointment . . . had these two on the table and I told Amber “We picked these exact colors with the glitter and everything”. Wonder what color I’ll choose next. I usually stick with fuchsias, pinks & plums but this was a really fun color as well. 

What color do you like to paint your toes? Do you go with traditional colors or something bold and colorful?

Don’t you just love it when you go to a wedding and you can feel the bride and groom’s personality? A signature drink is the perfect way to do this.

Talk to your bartender about serving during cocktail hour. This way everyone can taste your special drink before moving on to their favorites. You could even have the bar make a big batch ahead of time to get the party started quicker by serving your guests faster. Ask them to mix up something new and exciting or stick with your favorites - that’s what’s so great about personalization, it’s your wedding!

When you're hanging out with a friend and they want you to taste something yummy and share with you, doesn’t that make you feel special? I know I do.

What’s a signature drink you would want your friends and family to try? I often save a nice bottle of red wine or a special tequila for a tasting with friends & family. I also LOVE trying different flavored margaritas. Two of my all time favorites were from called the Frida (Ingredients; Monte Alban Silver, Organic Agave Nectar, Lime, Charred Pineapple) AND the Dragon Fruit Margarita at (Ingredients; Patrón Silver Tequila, triple sec, dragon fruit, key lime juice, sweet & sour)
