Real talk: most of the “setting up” pics I post are staged, so I’m grateful to for snapping this pic in real time. Two types of scissors in my hand, greenery/flowers to fill in, sunglasses on my head, in my sweatshirt. The set up for any event isn’t pretty. It’s normally messy and sometimes downright ugly until it’s done.

Friendly reminder that the beauty is coming, even if it’s a little ugly on the way there 🦢🤍

Wedding tip: we’ve been LOVING the use of unique backdrops for wedding ceremonies lately! But if your neon sign is featured on your ceremony backdrop, make sure you let your photographer know ahead of time! The lighting for a neon sign is completely different than a traditional ceremony, so just be sure to give your photo/video team a heads up so they can plan accordingly. (Your photo team will thank you, I promise!)

Hear me out: a champagne wall to welcome your guests to a non-wedding event. AND a champagne wall that doesn’t say “Cheers” or “Sip and Be Seated” at the top. Love this idea? You’re 👏🏼my👏🏼people👏🏼

I’ve been pitching this idea to different organizations for months, and I’m grateful I finally had the chance to bring it to life for Madrid Theatre’s Open House in January (albeit, it was aimed towards engaged couples, but still! Something different!) We’ve done this for a birthday party too, and would love to see more of this for nonprofit and corporate events in the future 🥂
