We are Free Bird Coffee Co., a family-operated mobile expresso cart based in Salina, KS. Since 2021, we’ve served our community by offering a way to bring a stellar coffee experience into intimate settings. From weddings and baby showers, to graduations and corporate events, we bring the coffee shop to you! ☕️

Last year we loved being a part of so many special events. This year we are excited to announce that we will also be joining the Farm & Art Market in downtown Salina! We love our community and are so excited to be able to bring our cart into this local space! We’ll be sure to post a list of the dates we plan to pop up at the Market. HELLO FRIENDS!!!!

Wow, it’s been awhile! High time for an update, eh?

I (Bella) can’t believe it’s been TWO YEARS since we started putting the pieces together and building this little business! I truly feel like we’ve lived a LIFETIME since then! At the time we were pregnant with our second child; that baby is nearly 2 and our eldest is 4.5! The photos we had taken at our launch party hardly reflect the season we’re in now (I was 34 weeks pregnant when they were taken!) 😂

Last year as Samuel finished his Masters and took over as manager of , we knew that we’d need to shift the expectations we had for our coffee cart. As much as we wanted to go all in and campaign for bigger and better, we also felt the Lord leading us to trust Him with the small things; to pursue His glory over our own; to invest in our growing family as these, “the little years,” go by too quickly. Not the standard practice of building a business, but then, we’ve never been very conventional by the world’s standards! 😂

This year, our goal is to “bring the coffee shop to YOU!” This means that while we may visit Farmer’s Market every once in awhile, we want to book more private events so we can focus on serving our customers with intentionality and passion. That’s the Free Bird way! If you’re hosting a graduation party, baby shower, women’s retreat, conference, or wedding, we would LOVE to serve you and your guests! The Kingsfoil Latte::

We're big fans of J.R.R. Tolkien and his Lord of the Rings trilogy. So when we were brainstorming ideas for our signature latte, the concept of a Kingsfoil syrup came to Bella's mind. In the trilogy, Kingsfoil is the common name of a sweet herb called Athelas that Aragorn used to heal the wound Frodo received when he was stabbed by the Ring Wraiths. Later before Aragorn ascends to the throne, he spends time in the Houses of Healing, also using Athelas to heal those injured in the War of the Ring. Bella decided to use her favorite herb, basil, as the base for this drink, and makes a fresh batch of syrup every week from fresh basil grown in our garden and raw local honey. Give a Kingsfoil Latte a try- it’s great iced or hot - and it might become your new favorite!

Hey, y’all! It’s been a HOT minute! ☀️ High time for a little life and business update! ✨

We launched Free Bird Coffee Co one year ago and gave it our all last summer- serving at the Salina Farmer’s Market, multiple small business events, showers, and our first wedding! Our second baby (Juliette) was born at the end of the summer and Samuel took over management at his full time coffee gig (). He graduated this May with his Masters of Business Administration from Kansas Wesleyan University and the following week we took our first ever family vacation! Life has been crazy and busy and full of so many good things! ❤️

We’ve heard from so many of you asking when we will be at Farmer’s Market next and we’ve tried scheduling our first pop-up so many times. Unfortunately due to low staff, Samuel’s been working overtime at Blacksmith and our schedule just hasn’t opened up yet. We are SO ready to serve y’all and are tentatively planning to be at Farmer’s Market in July! 🎉

We’re so thankful to have a couple weddings on the books, and are definitely wanting to do more pop-ups later this summer and early Fall. Stay tuned! 🥰
